In 2022, Foshan Lighting achieved revenue of 8.76 billion yuan
On April 10, Foshan Lighting (000541) released its "2022 Annual Report". The report disclosed that in 2022, the company achieved revenue of 8.76 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.39%; net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was 230 million yuan; and net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company after deducting non-recurring gains and losses was 220 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 48.12%.

Since 2021, Foshan Lighting has successively acquired and gained controlling stakes in Nanning Liaowang and Guoxing Optoelectronics, providing strong support for the company to quickly enter the automotive OEM market, strengthen and expand its automotive lighting business, and integrate the upstream and downstream of the LED industry chain. Currently, the company's main businesses mainly include the R&D, production, and sales of general lighting, electrical products, automotive lighting, LED packaging products, etc. In recent years, the company has actively expanded into new tracks such as smart lighting, healthy lighting, marine lighting, and plant/animal lighting.

Deepening (Sales) channel construction . Overseas, we consolidated and expanded cooperation with major overseas clients, tapped into collaboration potential, enhanced customer stickiness, and increased efforts to promote our own overseas brands. In the domestic market, we focused on deepening the construction of provincial service centers, accelerated the transformation of Dealers into Service providers, broadened the coverage of offline sales terminals, and actively explored existing market resources. We promoted changes in marketing models. We made all-out efforts to tackle major clients and large projects, signed strategic cooperation agreements with multiple organizations, and focused on developing markets such as landscape lighting, smart lamp posts, and beautiful countryside construction, achieving diversified sales.
Strengthen and expand the automotive lighting business , actively develop multiple OEM clients, focus on expanding the new energy vehicle lighting market, secure multiple high-quality new projects, providing strong support for Nanning Liaowang's steady development. Accelerate layout in niche sectors, actively promote the deployment of marine lighting sales channels, establishing 24 sales outlets across coastal provinces in China and Southeast Asia markets, and building 6 experience zones (halls); with smart home as the focal point, continuously expand into other smart application areas such as smart streetlights and smart hotels; increase sales efforts for healthy lighting products to meet the growing demand for high-quality light environments in education, office, home, and medical-care scenarios.
Total R&D investment for the year reached 504 million yuan , covering 118 high-tech R&D projects, 38 key core technology research initiatives, 25 industry-university-research cooperation projects, and over 600 new product developments. A core technology library encompassing optics, thermodynamics, mechanics, electronics, centralized control, and industrial design was established. An additional 390 patents were authorized, earning recognition as a National Intellectual Property Demonstration Enterprise. Significant efforts were made to advance innovation platform construction, resulting in the establishment of more than 20 R&D platforms, including "Postdoctoral Research Workstations," "Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Expert Workstations," "Sub-branches of Postdoctoral Research Workstations," and the National-Local Joint Engineering Laboratory for Semiconductor Lighting Materials and Devices. A strategic cooperation agreement was signed with Jihua Laboratory to jointly build a Healthy Lighting Laboratory. Additionally, a Headlight Research Institute was established to conduct forward-looking research on headlight technologies, driving continuous product innovation and upgrades.
Accelerate the transformation of technological achievements , promote the integrated development of innovation and supply chains, launch a series of healthy lighting products featuring innovative technologies such as photocatalysis and circadian rhythm, luminaires and intelligent control systems suitable for poultry farming and plant cultivation, as well as marine lighting products and solutions tailored to the diverse needs of deep-sea, shallow-sea, and aquaculture operations.
Continuously promote digital transformation , and use the SAP system as the core to integrate various business information management systems, achieving real-time data interconnectivity and optimized supply-demand matching. Continuously advance the construction of smart manufacturing workshops for bulb lamps, and take circuit boards and LED headlight workshops as pilots to establish digital demonstration workshops, achieving data visualization of production tracking.
