Lighting Designer (Level 3) Training Class in Foshan starts on March 13!

To implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on the construction of skilled vocational talents, carry out the state's planning and deployment for building a skilled talent workforce, strengthen the cultivation of innovative, applied, and skilled talents in the lighting industry, improve the knowledge literacy and professional skills of practitioners related to lighting design, accelerate the transformation and upgrading of lighting enterprises towards service-oriented manufacturing, the China Association of Lighting Industry (National Station for Professional Ability Evaluation of the Light Industry (Lighting) Sector) held a Level 3 Lighting Designer training class from March 13 to 25, 2023, in Foshan.

This training session is organized by the China Association of Lighting Industry (CALI) - National Station for Professional Competency Evaluation in the Light Industry (Lighting Sector), hosted by Wuxi Lide Times Technology Co., Ltd. - Base for Professional Competency Evaluation in the Light Industry (Lighting Sector), co-organized by Foshan Electric Appliance Lighting Co., Ltd., with online courses and tutoring provided by Vision of Light Design Education Platform. After meticulous preparatory work, the training session officially commenced at 8:30 AM on March 13.

Hong Bing, Vice Chairman of the Talent Training Work Committee of the China Association of Lighting Industry (CALI) and General Manager of Wuxi Lide Times Technology Co., Ltd. (Lighting Industry Professional Competency Evaluation Base), presided over the opening ceremony. He introduced that for this training class, we have invited a team of nearly 10 teachers with rich teaching experience as well as theoretical and practical expertise to comprehensively and systematically impart lighting design knowledge, provide guidance on lighting software applications, and instruct on design implementation practices. We will also do our utmost to deliver excellent teaching services, effectively enhancing students' lighting design proficiency and practical capabilities.

Wang Dakai, National Marketing Director of FSL Lighting, stated that this training is the first time FSL Lighting has organized a professional competency assessment for lighting designers. This initiative aims to further strengthen the lighting design capabilities of the dealer team, enhance their solution design proficiency, and better execute all reform tasks.

Online training is provided by the Vision of Light Design Education Platform, which offers courses, teaching support, and management. Mr. Duan Jintao, guest associate professor at Shanghai Visual Arts College and affiliated with the Vision of Light Design Education Platform, introduces the current status of the fully online academic affairs platform, as well as the arrangement and teaching of online courses.

Ms. Yang Zheng, supervisor of the Professional Competency Evaluation Base for the Light Industry (Lighting) Sector, provided an explanation regarding the student application form and related matters.

This training adopts an O2O learning approach combining online and offline channels, with a total duration of 11 days (including 5 days of online training, 5 days of offline training, and 1 day for assessment).

Training course content mainly includes theoretical knowledge such as introduction to design, fundamentals of lighting and design, lighting safety and measurement, etc., and practical operation skills such as lighting software application, lighting calculation, luminaire selection, and drawing of lighting construction drawings. It also adds special content such as luminaire design. Upon passing the assessment, participating trainees will be awarded a professional competency evaluation certificate jointly issued by the China Council for the Promotion of Industry and the China Association of Lighting Industry.
