Although educational lighting products appear simple within the entire lighting sector, the actual products sold have evolved into different forms. Consequently, these product forms are categorized into distinct tiers and price points.
I. Energy-saving Products
Energy saving remains evergreen and is still the main theme of public lighting. The focus of energy-saving products mainly lies in improving the power factor, reducing power density, increasing luminous efficacy, extending lifespan, and enhancing lumen maintenance. In short, it is about emitting more light with less electricity, for a longer duration. With the National Development and Reform Commission issuing a new round of energy conservation and carbon reduction orders, the demand for energy-saving products in existing stock will become even more urgent.
II. Eye-care Products
Eye-care products represent a higher-level requirement for lighting products since the national comprehensive policy on myopia prevention and control. Current testing methods, evaluation criteria, and certification rules are all in place, focusing primarily on strict regulations regarding light quality parameters such as color temperature, CRI, glare, blue light, illuminance, and uniformity. Requirements for eye-care products have been reflected in classroom lights, blackboard lights, and desk lamps.
III. Intelligent Products
With the development of digital technology, intelligent lighting products for education have evolved from single classrooms to entire schools, offering smart control solutions such as individual lamp control, group control, mode control, constant illuminance, energy saving statistics and remote control, and illuminance monitoring. In regions with better conditions, these have already been replaced all at once according to smart standards.
4. Health-oriented Products
