Coordinated promotion of international and domestic standard projects for LED packaging, light sources, and luminaires used in multiple plant cultivation

The meeting further discussed in detail the proposed handling of committee documents (CD) and national standards committee comments for IEC 63403-1 ED1 "LED packages of horticultural lighting – Part 1: Specification sheet" and IEC 63403-2 ED1 "LED packages for horticultural lighting – Part 2: Binning". Participating experts discussed and agreed to the modification proposals and framework adjustment plan submitted by Chinese experts, unanimously agreeing that these two IEC standard projects proceed to the Committee Draft Vote (CDV) stage. Subsequently, Chinese experts will serve as project leaders to ensure follow-up work.

The meeting introduced the progress of two projects: PWI 34-7 "LED light sources and luminaires for horticultural lighting – Performance (Performance requirements for LED light sources and LED luminaires for horticultural lighting)" and PWI 34-9 "LED luminaire for horticultural lighting – Safety (Safety requirements for LED luminaires for horticultural lighting)". The two projects, themed "Safety requirements for luminaires for horticultural lighting" and "Performance requirements for LED luminaires for horticultural lighting", are led by Chinese experts. The project documents have undergone multiple rounds of discussion within the IEC international group and are ready for proposal (NP) preparation. Proposal work is planned to be initiated shortly after the organizational management model within the committee is confirmed with the relevant international organization.

The meeting discussed updates to the PWI 34-8 project document "LED light sources for horticultural lighting – Safety (Safety requirements for LED light sources for horticultural lighting)". The document was prepared by Korean experts with assistance from Chinese experts, and attending experts provided guidance on further structural and content revisions.
