ams OSRAM announces full-year 2022 results
Global leader in optical solutions, ams OSRAM, recently announced its full-year and fourth-quarter financial results for 2022, showing overall stable performance.
According to the financial report, the group's total revenue for 2022 was €4.819 billion (approximately ¥35.110 billion RMB). Affected by the split, this represents a 4% Year-on-year (YoY) decrease compared to the full year of 2021. Among them, the group's revenue in the fourth quarter was €1.177 billion, down 4% Year-on-year (YoY).
调整后的全年集团毛利率为31%，低于2021年全年的34%。调整后的集团全年经营利润 (EBIT) 为4.07亿欧元，而2021年全年为5.02亿欧元。调整后的集团全年净利润为1.24亿欧元，与2021年全年的2.72亿欧元相比，有所下降。
The semiconductor division contributed the most to full-year performance, accounting for 66% of total revenue. Given last year's challenging market conditions, the automotive business in semiconductors delivered solid full-year results. The 2022 automotive market was characterized by disruptions in vehicle production, ongoing supply chain volatility, and significant inventory adjustments in the automotive supply chain during the second half of the year. Last year, ams OSRAM launched the next-generation high-pixel LED headlamps, adding a new (sales) channel for the group. Industrial and medical businesses performed well overall last year.
Luminaire and Systems (L&S) Department accounted for 34% of total revenue in 2022. Given the industry environment, including traditional lighting, the L&S automotive business saw positive overall development last year. Thanks to improved demand for most of this year, other areas of the L&S department made solid contributions to full-year performance in industrial, building-related, and medical applications.
ams OSRAM mentioned that the sale of Traxon was completed in the fourth quarter. It is reported that in December 2022, Wing On Group announced the completion of its acquisition of ams OSRAM's Traxon Technologies architectural lighting business, which includes the globally leading dynamic lighting control system e:cue. In the first half of 2023, ams OSRAM is expected to complete the disposal of the remaining two businesses, marking the signing or completion of all planned divestitures of non-strategic core businesses. In other words, the divestiture of the last lighting application business has been fully completed.
It is also reported that Alexander Everke will step down as CEO of AMS OSRAM on March 31, 2023, and Aldo Kamper will take over on April 1.
