ams OSRAM appoints new CEO
Global leader in optical solutions, ams OSRAM, recently announced that Alexander Everke will step down as CEO of ams OSRAM after successfully leading the company for seven years. The ams OSRAM Supervisory Board has appointed Aldo Kamper as Chairman of the Management Board and CEO, succeeding Alexander Everke.
It is reported that since 2018, Aldo Kamper has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Leoni AG, a supplier of energy data management solutions for the automotive industry. Prior to this, Aldo Kamper worked at OSRAM for over 15 years in various management roles, including most recently as General Manager of OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, under whose leadership the business achieved significant growth.
After Aldo Kamper took office, the company will further focus on its strategic priorities. His technical expertise and management experience have laid a solid foundation for seizing opportunities arising from the combination of sensing and LED technologies. He drove the early development of Micro LED technology at OSRAM and will continue to promote its successful industrialization, benefiting customers, shareholders, and employees.

Alexander Everke was appointed to the Management Board of ams AG (now ams OSRAM AG) in 2015 and became CEO in 2016. Since then, he has developed the group into a leading supplier of optical solutions through organic growth and successful Acquisition. During this period, group revenue grew rapidly from approximately €500 million to approximately €5 billion (FY2021). At the same time, the company's product portfolio was further expanded through innovative sensor products and leading LED technology.
Alexander Everke emphasized: "Following the acquisition of OSRAM, the integration of the two companies has entered an advanced stage. ams OSRAM's future positioning is that of a highly innovative semiconductor company with an attractive product portfolio and an excellent market position." Alexander Everke will actively support the handover of his duties and continue to serve as a company advisor until the end of 2023.
