In November 2022, the Shenzhen Municipal Government issued the "Several Measures to Support the Construction of New Information Infrastructure in Shenzhen (2022–2025)," which explicitly calls for strengthening the integrated layout of multi-functional smart poles at the municipal and district levels, aiming to reach 45,000 units by the end of 2025.
