2023.1.11 Light Health Application R&D Center Officially Established
On the morning of January 11, the Light Health Application R&D Center of the Peking University Dongguan Optoelectronics Research Institute was officially unveiled and established. The R&D center is committed to promoting the improvement of light health product development and application levels, leading industry development. At the unveiling ceremony, the "Boya Photon Lamp" product was also released.

Wang Qi, Executive Vice President of the Research Institute, stated in his speech that the Research Institute is a well-known optical application R&D and project incubation institution in China. Under the leadership of many renowned scholars from Peking University, relying on prior experimental data and R&D achievements, it focuses on the health industry, committed to promoting and perfecting the application technology and industrialization development of optical technologies in areas related to human health. Zhongshichuang Company is an enterprise that has long been deeply engaged in the product development, implementation, and commercialization of optical products. This cooperation will leverage each party's strengths and expertise. The Optical Health Application R&D Center is an open and inclusive platform, warmly welcoming enterprises from the optical-related industries and sectors to join in its construction together, promoting the vigorous development of the industry.

Lu Dajun, General Manager of Zhongshi Chuangzhuang, introduced the theoretical basis of the Boya Photon Lamp in his keynote speech. Starting from phototherapy for health benefits, he explained how red light has been proven to stimulate the energy center of cells, mitochondria, and provided an accessible introduction to the main principles of the Boya Photon Lamp for the audience. He also presented the health benefits of the Boya Photon Lamp for the human body.

Professor Chen Zhizhong of the School of Physics at Peking University delivered a keynote report titled "Research on Vitamin D Supplementation via Ultraviolet Light Irradiation," introducing from a more professional and academic perspective the impact of UV light irradiation on human bone metabolism, confirming that UVB ultraviolet light can help maintain stable bone density, bone metabolism, and vitamin D synthesis in enclosed environments. Therefore, enhancing the application of UVB irradiation on the Boya Photon Lamp can effectively help people working in enclosed spaces and middle-aged to elderly populations supplement vitamin D.

Liu Xiao, Vice General Manager of Zhongshichuang Company, specifically introduced the Boya Photon Lamp from aspects such as product appearance, parameters, energy and radiation, and usage instructions, and conducted a demonstration on site.

Light Health Application R&D Center
北京大学东莞光电研究院光健康应用研发中心,是研究院下辖的直属重点实验室,由北京大学物理学院教授,著名物理学家张国义领衔并担任首席科学家。从2008年开始,研发中心现有科研团队已经开始致力于光与人体大健康方面的深层机理研发,是国内最早开始在光健康领域进行研发的专业团队之一。目前,研发中心在光对人体能量合成、节律调控、营养吸收、损伤修复、情绪控制等方面积累了大量研发数据和实验成果,实现了密闭空间连续倒班人员生物节律保持38天的效果,同时维生素D水平保持正常,同时研制出蓝光伤害系数低至0.06的光源,获得相关领域的数十项专利。特别是在特定光波对于抑郁症治疗方面,与国内精神健康权威机构北京大学附属第六医院进行了完整的双盲实验,光照显著增强了药物治疗抑郁症的效果。后续,研发中心将在张国义教授的带领下,在加强研发的同时,以光为载体,聚焦大健康,推进现有科研成果的产业化应用,为我国光健康领域的发展做出更大的贡献。
