35 Desk Study Lamps Tested: OPPLE, NVC, and others performed well
■Note:
When selecting a reading and writing desk lamp, check whether the lamp has the China Compulsory Certification (CCC) mark.
Recently, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Consumers Association released the comparative test results of 35 common reading and writing desk lamps available on the market.

Test results show that Sansi, OPPLE Lighting, Miniso, NVC Lighting, Philips (Lighting business: Signify), and Sanxiong Aurora performed well overall and were awarded seven stars.

This test purchased 35 samples of reading and writing desk lamps to test both mandatory standard requirements and recommended standard requirements.
In accordance with relevant standard requirements, conducted comparative tests on the structure, electric shock protection, and marking of 35 reading and writing desk lamps.

Test results show that among all samples, except for 12 samples where marked items did not meet standard requirements, all other mandatory standard test items met the requirements. Non-compliance of marked items was observed as follows: no rated maximum ambient temperature on the luminaire, no rated voltage for Class II luminaires, no power factor (PF), and no light source information on the luminaire.
In accordance with relevant standard requirements, conducted comparative tests on 35 reading and writing desk lamps across seven aspects: cut-off, illuminance, uniformity of illuminance, correlated color temperature (CCT), color rendering index (CRI), blue light hazard, and labeling.

When using a reading and writing desk lamp, pay attention to the following points: First, before use, carefully read the user manual and use it correctly according to the instructions; Second, since AC-type desk lamps may exhibit flicker, continuous long-term use is not recommended; Third, the light emitted by reading and writing desk lamps is directional, so it is recommended to use them with stable and uniform background lighting to supplement the insufficient illuminance of the desk lamp; Fourth, when in use, avoid touching surfaces such as the lampshade, light source, or lamp holder to prevent accidents like burns or electric shocks; Fifth, regularly check the working status of the desk lamp, and stop using it if you notice reduced brightness of the light source or signs of flicker.
