Tariff Adjustment! Involving These Countries and Lighting Products

Recently, the Tariff Commission of the State Council issued "Announcement on the 2023 Tariff Adjustment Plan" (Tariff Commission Announcement No. 11 of 2022). The 2023 tariff adjustment fully leveraged the role of tariffs as a link between domestic and international dual circulation, enhancing the linkage effect between domestic and international markets and resources.
This tariff adjustment will accelerate the transformation and upgrading of the lighting industry, activate new momentum for industry development, create new advantages in international cooperation and competition, promote the advancement of China's lighting industry towards the mid-to-high end, and build a new pattern for the development of the lighting industry.
针对照明产品关税调整的内容主要涉及东盟十国、澳大利亚、日本、韩国、巴基斯坦、秘鲁、哥斯达黎加、瑞士、冰岛等国家的主要照明产品的协定关税、进口暂定税率等2项内容。(2023年关税调整方案具体内容，可点击下方“阅读原文“进行了解。）
Under the free trade agreements with China and New Zealand, Peru, Costa Rica, Switzerland, Iceland, South Korea, Australia, Pakistan, Mauritius, and Cambodia, as well as the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), tariffs are reduced in a single step. Except for South Korea and Pakistan, the 2023 agreement tariff rates for major lighting products in the other countries are all 0%. 韩国主要照明产品的协定税率从去年的2%-12%降低到今年的1%-11%，总体降幅为1%；巴基斯坦24种主要照明产品的协定税率进一步下降，降幅在0.5%以上。对比2022年，今年瑞士主要照明产品的协定税率全部将为0%。受惠于RCEP持续推进，东盟国家主要照明产品的协定税率进一步降低，协定税率从去年的5%-19%降低到今年的4%-18%，大部分产品税率降幅在0.5%以上。总体来看，RCEP国家主要照明产品的关税进一步降低。 Effective January 1, 2023, the provisional import tariff rates for two lighting-related products, "illumination light sources for color projectors" and "aircraft strobe lights and warning assemblies," will continue to be applied. Starting from July 1, 2023, "aircraft strobe lights and warning assemblies" will be subject to the Most Favored Nation (MFN) tariff rate, which is 0%.
