In November 2022, school lighting procurement scale surged, with three major contracts worth tens of millions each being finalized.
Currently, lighting procurement in the education sector covers multiple scenarios, including classrooms, sports fields, and gymnasiums. Among these, upgrading the light environment in classrooms is a key focus of school lighting procurement. According to monitoring data from the National Education Equipment Procurement Network, 96 school lighting procurement projects were implemented nationwide in November 2022, an increase of 40 compared to the previous month. There were 26 projects valued at over one million yuan, up by 4 from the previous month, and 3 projects valued at over ten million yuan, up by 1. As November began, demand for light environment upgrades in the education sector rose again, with procurement scale increasing significantly.

Based on procurement data across various sectors, the basic education sector leads the other three sectors in demand for lighting environment upgrades. This month, 77 procurement projects were finalized in this sector, accounting for 80% of the total, including 22 projects valued at over one million and 3 projects valued at over ten million. The vocational education sector saw 9 lighting procurement projects finalized, accounting for 10% of the total. The higher education sector had 5 procurement projects finalized, accounting for 5% of the total, with 2 projects valued at over one million. The preschool education sector also had 5 lighting procurement projects finalized this month, accounting for 5% of the total, including 2 projects valued at over one million.
From the perspective of procurement priorities across various sectors, lighting procurement in preschool education, basic education, and vocational education involves single usage scenarios, with all projects belonging to classroom light environment renovation. In contrast, lighting procurement projects in higher education involve multiple scenarios such as gymnasiums, teaching buildings, and sports fields.
Based on the project procurement scope, the classroom lighting environment renovation mainly involves the procurement of LED classroom luminaires and LED blackboard luminaires. The renovation includes luminaire replacement, power circuit改造 (rewiring), and adding blackboard luminaires, aiming to improve illuminance and light uniformity in the renovated classrooms while achieving smarter lighting environment management.
