New progress on the Acquisition of OSRAM's business unit by Inventronics

In June this year, Inventronics announced the acquisition of Osram's lighting component digital systems division (specifically: intending to purchase via cash 100% equity in Optotronic GmbH held directly by OSRAM GmbH and OSRAM S.p.A., 100% equity in Osram (Guangzhou) Lighting Technology Co., Ltd., 100% equity in Optotronic S.r.l., and non-equity assets held by OSRAM GmbH through multiple direct and indirect wholly-owned subsidiaries and affiliated companies). In July, an announcement was made to raise no more than 1 billion yuan for purchasing Osram's lighting component digital systems division and other projects.


On December 9, Invt publicly announced the latest progress of its Acquisition. Invt stated that to smoothly take over the non-equity assets involved in the Acquisition of OSRAM's Lighting Components Digital Systems Division, ensure normal operations of all assets after the completion of this major asset purchase, and leverage the synergies brought by the major asset purchase, the company has passed resolutions in June and September of this year to establish several direct or indirect wholly-owned subsidiaries in the Netherlands, South Korea, UAE, UK, Poland, Turkey, and Slovakia .


Recently, Inventronics has completed the registration procedures for its wholly-owned subsidiaries in the Netherlands, South Korea, and the UK, and obtained the registration certificates. The three company names are Inventronics Netherlands B.V., Inventronics Korea Inc., and INVENTRONICS UK LTD, with registered capitals of EUR 10,000, KRW 100 million, and GBP 60,000 respectively.

It is reported that the Digital Systems Division of Lighting Components under OSRAM mainly offers various indoor and outdoor LED driver products, LED modules, LED light engines, electronic control devices, etc., and provides customers with customized, intelligent, and integrated overall lighting control systems.


Infeet previously stated that the company's main advantage lies in medium-to-high power LED drivers, while the target company focuses on corresponding products for various small-to-medium power applications. As a century-old enterprise, OSRAM holds advantages in brand, marketing, and services in the European market. Acquiring OSRAM's Digital Systems Division will help the company expand its product line and enhance its competitiveness in the European market.


In addition to the LED power supply niche, Inventronics will also actively monitor investment opportunities in new energy, energy storage, and related fields.
