Multiple scenario-based lighting modes! The domestic large aircraft C919, here is what the interior looks like
On December 9, 2022, the first domestically produced C919 large aircraft was delivered to China Eastern Airlines , which means that soon we will be able to choose a domestically made large aircraft for our travel. What does this aircraft look like? What unique designs does it feature?
Reporters visit the first C919 delivery aircraft with a new livery

Reporter Li Ning: This is the world's first C919 aircraft delivered to China Eastern Airlines, now featuring a brand-new livery. The livery is predominantly white, with a set of highly symbolic numbers at the tail: B-919A, the aircraft's registration number, which serves as its unique identifier and will accompany the aircraft throughout its entire life.

On the nose direction, there are two very obvious bilingual Chinese-English inscriptions.

Regarding the C919's exterior, the most impressive features are its streamlined nose design and the design of four large-area double-curved windshield panels. Such a design provides pilots with a wider field of view. At the same time, it reduces air resistance, making the aircraft more fuel-efficient.

The C919's wing design is also highly unique; it adopts a supercritical wing configuration that enables high-speed cruise flight while maintaining high aerodynamic efficiency, reducing the aircraft's structural weight and increasing structural volume and fuel capacity.

Next, let's focus on the interior of the C919, the first aircraft ready for delivery and operation. Stepping into the cabin, its height is a total of 2.25 meters, and the arched ceiling design further enhances the sense of space.

The C919 cabin interior lighting is very distinctive, equipped with LED lighting and scene lighting; the entire cabin lighting offers 10 scene modes.
For example, this is a lighting mode suitable for night navigation, the rainbow light.

On the C919 aircraft, human-centric design is evident throughout. For instance, the center seat on the C919 measures 18.5 inches, while the side seats are 18 inches; this extra 0.5 inch reflects a human-centric design approach. Additionally, there are headrests that can be adjusted vertically to accommodate passengers of different heights.
C919: Mainstream model meeting market demand
The C919 large passenger aircraft is a narrow-body jet airliner. From the outset of its design, it was benchmarked against the most widely used and largest fleet-size models in the civil aviation market to better adapt to passenger aircraft market demands.

Qi Xuefeng, General Manager of the C919 Large Passenger Aircraft Project : The C919 is a single-aisle large passenger aircraft. Its seating capacity ranges from 158 to 192 seats. Statistics show that currently, 60% of commercial transport aircraft worldwide fall within this seat class, and 80% of China's fleet belongs to this category. Therefore, the C919 has very promising prospects in both the Chinese and global markets.
The C919 large passenger aircraft is a single-aisle narrow-body airliner developed by China in accordance with internationally recognized airworthiness standards, featuring independent intellectual property rights. Its range spans from 4,075 km to 5,555 km. From the outset, it was designed to target the civil aviation transport market segment with the highest usage and largest fleet size: the 150–200 seat class, serving the world's largest narrow-body passenger aircraft market.

Wu Guanghui, Chief Designer of the C919 Large Passenger Aircraft Series: In the next 20 years, we aim to reach nearly 10,000 aircraft; currently, there are over 4,000. It is projected that the future international market will require 40,000 aircraft. The market demand for the C919 is extremely high.
