The 132nd Canton Fair Opens
The 132nd China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) opened on the 15th, with the exhibition held online.
According to the organizers, over 35,000 Export enterprises participated in this exhibition, an increase of approximately 40% compared to the previous edition. Among them, there were 2,094 brand enterprises; more than 3,700 enterprises hold titles such as National High-Tech Enterprise and China Time-Honored Brand; the Import Exhibition featured over 400 participating enterprises from more than 30 countries and regions.
This session of the Canton Fair, themed "Connecting Domestic and International Dual Circulations", includes three exhibition components: an online display platform, supply-demand matching services, and a cross-border e-commerce zone.
It is reported that to assist enterprises in overcoming difficulties, this session continues to waive online exhibition fees for enterprises and does not charge any fees to cross-border e-commerce platforms participating in synchronous activities.

To date, enterprises have uploaded a total of 3.06 million items, setting a new record high. The exhibition is organized into 50 zones across 16 major product categories, covering electronics and home appliances, lighting, vehicles and accessories, machinery, hardware tools, building materials, chemical products, daily consumer goods, and more.

Regarding lighting categories, the exhibits mainly include luminaires, LED luminaires, light bulbs and tubes, lighting accessories, emergency and safety lighting, entertainment and stage lighting, etc. According to statistics, up to now, there are 635 exhibitors related to lighting at this session, with a total of 31,809 lighting-related exhibits, both showing an increase compared to the previous session.
Many high-quality lighting enterprises participated in this online exhibition. Among them, 77 brand-name lighting enterprises, including well-known industry companies such as Foshan Lighting, Suny Lighting, Huayi Decorative Lighting, Shuangyu Electronics, Hongyibai Lighting, Guangmingyuan, etc.
This exhibition continued to feature labels for specialized and new enterprises, high-tech enterprises, green booth awards, and Chinese time-honored brands. Among them, there were 63 high-tech enterprises related to lighting, 3 specialized and new enterprises, and 1 Chinese time-honored brand: Zhongshan Aotepu Optoelectronics Co., Ltd.
The exhibition continues to establish a "Rural Revitalization" zone , featuring distinctive branding for enterprises dedicated to rural revitalization, thereby assisting companies from poverty-stricken areas in expanding into domestic and international markets. A total of 7 lighting enterprises and 297 exhibits were selected, including Debang Lighting Co., Ltd. from Ruijin City, Sichuan Jemi Lighting Technology Co., Ltd., and Kashgar Ande Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., among others.
To keep pace with the trends of the Industry, this exhibition has specially set up labels for green and low-carbon products, smart products, etc. among lighting-related exhibits.
In addition, many companies plan to conduct online live streaming to present products and corporate image in a live format, such as Shanghai Zhaoguan Lighting Industrial Co., Ltd.
It is reported that the Canton Fair, known as "China's No. 1 Exhibition," continued to be held online during the pandemic. Notably, for this edition of the Canton Fair, while the exhibitor connection and appointment negotiation functions are available for 10 days, other functions such as online display, instant communication, trade matching, and Conference Services will be extended by 5 months .
Hong Kong International Autumn Decorative Lighting Exhibition held
October 13, the 2022 Hong Kong International Autumn Lighting Fair, hosted by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, grandly opened at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Meanwhile, the 2022 Hong Kong International Outdoor & Technology Lighting Expo also launched concurrently, forming a large-scale global decorative lighting trade platform together with the 2022 Hong Kong International Autumn Lighting Exhibition, creating endless business opportunities for exhibitors.
According to the official website of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the 2022 Hong Kong International Autumn Lighting Fair is divided into physical and online exhibitions. The physical exhibition opened on October 13 and concluded on October 16, lasting four days, with over one hundred domestic and international lighting companies participating. This year's fair was held under a new integrated exhibition model "EXHIBITION+ (Exhibition+)" combining physical and online formats. The online exhibition runs until October 23, extending exhibitors' procurement journey from the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre venue to the fair's official website and the "TradeNet Procurement" platform.

In addition, the Hong Kong International Autumn Lighting Exhibition has made more reasonable arrangements for product zones to highlight the main business areas of the lighting industry and meet the constantly changing needs of customers. The exhibition site includes galleries featuring renowned luminaires, commercial lighting, residential lighting, smart decorative lighting, and lighting solutions, bringing together smart application solutions, high-efficiency luminaires, automated control systems, functional lighting, and decorative lighting products.
The two exhibitions present a range of smart and environmental protection lighting products. Selected products include flexible track light systems (Booth: 1C-D17) and smart ceiling lights (Booth: 1C-C05), among others. The Zhejiang exhibition group showcases various lighting products at the physical exhibition; the online exhibition features participating groups from Guangdong, Jiangsu, Xiamen, and Taiwan. The Outdoor and Technology Lighting Expo features an "Innovative Architecture Gallery" showcasing technologies and products related to architecture.

According to the organizer, Jorge E Cruz, representative of the US commercial and industrial lighting importer LED Lighting & Energy Storage Systems, shared that at the Hong Kong International Autumn Lighting Fair and the Hong Kong International Outdoor and Technology Lighting Expo, he successfully found six to seven potential partners providing smart lighting solutions, landscape lighting, and smart lights. He plans to place orders with three suppliers.
Buyer Przemysław Kowalczyk from LEDIN Sp. z oo, Poland stated that with the support of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), he was able to return to the Hong Kong International Autumn Lighting Fair this year. "I am very pleased to have the opportunity to visit the fair again this year, , and found two potential suppliers specializing in three-proof lights and garden lights. I plan to place an order with one of the three-proof light suppliers next year, with an order value of USD 1 million."
It is also reported that the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) organized five major autumn technology exhibitions under the theme "Innovative Technology, Shaping the Future": the Hong Kong Autumn Electronics Fair, the International Components & Production Technology Exhibition, the International IT Expo, the Hong Kong Autumn Lighting Fair, and the Hong Kong International Outdoor & Tech Lighting Expo, bringing together over 1,000 exhibitors.
