On the morning of September 27, CALI President He Ye received a visit from Zhou Jintian, member of the Guzhen Town Party Committee and Executive Deputy Mayor. Both sides exchanged views on key tasks for the current development of the lighting industry, particularly the transformation and upgrading of Guzhen's lighting industry, further expanding domestic and international markets, and facilitating dual circulation.

Commissioner Zhou introduced that under the severe epidemic situation and sustained economic downturn this year, the total industrial output value of Guzhen's lighting industry in the first half of the year declined slightly, with significant downward pressure. Recently, the issuance of the "Action Plan for Promoting High-Quality Development of the Home Furnishing Industry" has provided positive policy guidance and new development opportunities for the recovery of Guzhen's lighting and decorative lighting industries. The Guzhen Town Government attaches great importance to this and hopes to continue closely cooperating with the association to actively seize policy dividends and boost a new round of development for Guzhen's lighting and decorative lighting industries.

Chairman He Ye warmly welcomed Commissioner Zhou and his delegation. She pointed out that under the current complex political and economic environment, the lighting industry is under high pressure, but its development trend remains better than the national average, demonstrating the resilience of the lighting industry. The state attaches great importance to the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing. Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in collaboration with multiple government departments, has densely issued several policies promoting the development of the light industry, including the "Guiding Opinions on Promoting High-Quality Development of the Light Industry", the "Digital Action Plan for Assisting the 'Three Products' of Consumer Goods Industry (2022-2025)", etc. In particular, the "Action Plan for Promoting High-Quality Development of the Home Furnishing Industry" focuses highly on home furnishing industries including lighting, providing policy guarantees for promoting high-quality development of the lighting industry. She pointed out that Guzhen Town is the "Capital of Chinese Decorative Lighting" and has long been a representative of China's lighting industry cluster development, featuring unique development characteristics. Facing a new period of development and new development concepts, Guzhen must seize opportunities and actively promote the transformation and upgrading of existing industries. She hopes that Guzhen Town will deeply focus on new technologies, changes, and trends in the current lighting industry, redefine the connotation of the "City of Lights", dig deep into market demands, endow the "City of Lights" with new meanings, and continuously leverage the advantages and leading role of Guzhen enterprises in various aspects such as improving manufacturing capabilities, standardizing the market, talent training, technological innovation, and standardization, to assist the high-quality development of the lighting industry. She expressed that for a long time, the China Association of Lighting and Guzhen Town have always maintained good cooperation and mutual promotion in promoting the development of the lighting industry. In the future, the China Association of Lighting will continue to support Guzhen as before, jointly promoting the new development of Guzhen's lighting industry.
