Nearly 80% of school lighting procurement projects in August 2022 were implemented in the basic education sector
School buildings, libraries, laboratory buildings, sports venues, activity centers, and cafeterias all involve the use of lighting equipment. According to monitoring data from the Education Equipment Procurement Network nationwide, in August 2022, there were 101 school lighting procurement projects completed, a decrease of 12 from the previous month. There were 23 million-level projects completed, a decrease of 6 from the previous month. The school lighting procurement market in August showed a downward trend.

Data collection shows that basic education has 80 lighting procurement projects implemented, accounting for 79% of the total; vocational education has 10 lighting procurement projects implemented, accounting for 10%; higher education has 6 lighting procurement projects implemented, accounting for 6%; and early childhood education has 5 lighting procurement projects implemented, accounting for 5%.
From the perspective of implemented projects, lighting procurement priorities differ across education sectors. In early childhood and basic education, the focus is on classroom lighting. In vocational and higher education, procurement content is diverse, including classroom lighting, exhibition hall lighting, and sports venue lighting, among others.

In August, there were 20 procurement projects in the basic education sector with values exceeding one million yuan. Among them, the "2022 Yangpu District Classroom Lighting Renovation Project" from Shanghai was awarded a contract worth 5.9 million yuan, with procurement contents including LED classroom lights and LED blackboard lights. The "2022 Pengzhou City Primary and Secondary Schools (Kindergartens) Light Environment Improvement Project" from Sichuan Province had a procurement scale of 7.13 million yuan, making it the largest project in terms of lighting procurement investment in the basic education sector for that month. Its procurement contents included LED classroom lights, LED blackboard lights, LED panel lights, and a smart lighting management platform. In the higher education sector, three million-level projects were implemented, involving teaching buildings, university history museums, and sports field lighting. Among them, the "Inner Mongolia Agricultural University East Campus and New Campus Football Field Lighting Equipment Procurement Project" was awarded a contract worth 5.08 million yuan, representing the largest procurement scale in the higher education sector for that month.

From a regional procurement scale perspective, school lighting projects were implemented in 17 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions during the month. Fujian Province led with 45 projects, including 12 million-level projects. Among them, the "Fuzhou Education Bureau Fuzhou Municipal Primary and Secondary School Myopia Prevention Classroom Lighting Renovation Project" was awarded at a bid amount of 3.63 million yuan, representing the largest school lighting procurement investment scale in the province. Sichuan Province had 11 school lighting projects implemented, with 1 million-level project. Shandong Province had 6 school lighting projects implemented, with 2 million-level projects.
