2022 Jiangsu Lighting Electrical Association Annual Conference Concludes Successfully
To actively explore new paths for industry development, promote the digital transformation of Jiangsu's lighting industry, build a new industrial ecosystem of "Digital Light Network", and comprehensively promote cross-border integration and development in the lighting industry. On August 28, 2022, the 2022 Annual Conference of Jiangsu Lighting Electrical Association, the 5th Jiangsu Lighting Awards, and the 2nd "Spark Cup" Award Ceremony, themed "New Challenges, New Ideas, New Tracks, New Development", were successfully held in Yangzhou.
This conference was hosted by the Jiangsu Lighting Electrical Association and co-organized by Jiangsu Xinghuo Lighting Group Co., Ltd. It received strong support from 37 organizations, including Epson (China) Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Bosiwei Optoelectronics Group Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Yongdian Lighting Co., Ltd.
The conference invited Duan Xiong, former First-Level Inspector of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology; Chen Haiqing, Deputy Director of the Resource Development Division of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism; Guan Ming, former Director of the Economic Operation Bureau of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology and President of the Jiangsu Industrial Design Association; Chen Rongjin, Member of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Director of the Economic and Scientific Committee of the Yangzhou Municipal CPPCC; Gu Jilin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of Gaoyou High-tech Zone; Zhao Jianping, Deputy Dean of the Institute of Building and Environmental Energy at the China Academy of Building Research; Xu Ning, Researcher at the High-End Innovation Center for Visual Arts of the Central Academy of Fine Arts and Expert of the Cultural Tourism Professional Committee of the China Illuminating Engineering Society; Li Guobin, Consultant Chief Engineer and former Vice President of East China Architectural Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd.; Wang Qiang, Chief Engineer of the Communication Research Institute of China Comservice Consulting & Design; Cai Qiming, Think Tank Expert of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Professor at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics; Ling Yingming, Chairman of the Zhejiang Lighting Appliance Association; Su Yaokang, President of the Shanghai Lighting Appliance Industry Association; Wu Wenfeng, Chairman of the Guangdong Lighting Appliance Association; Liang Rongqing, Chairman of the Shanghai Illuminating Engineering Society; as well as leaders from more than ten national industry associations in Shanghai, Anhui, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Beijing, Hunan, Foshan, Zhongshan, Nanjing, Changzhou, Gaoyou, and other regions, along with industry experts and entrepreneur representatives. A total of 350 attendees gathered in the ancient city of Yangzhou to celebrate this grand event!

The opening ceremony of the Conference was hosted by Shen Ru, Secretary-General of the Jiangsu Provincial Lighting Electrical Association. In his address, Yu Yanqiu, Chairman of the Jiangsu Province Lighting Electrical Appliances Association, expressed gratitude and welcome to all guests present for overcoming difficulties to attend the conference amid the uncertainty of the pandemic spread and prevention and control requirements. He stated that Jiangsu Province is a major economic, manufacturing, and technological province with a solid industrial foundation, possessing first-class scientific and educational resources and talent advantages. Nanjing is the birthplace of China's state-owned national lighting industry, and Jiangsu is the province where China's lighting industry developed earliest, with the most advanced technology and the most complete categories. Currently, the development of Jiangsu's lighting industry has entered a bottleneck, facing fierce market competition and pressure for transformation and development, making transformation and upgrading urgently needed.
In the future, the Association will align with the "14th Five-Year" development plan, guide the direction of Jiangsu's lighting industry with "dual carbon, health, and intelligence," comprehensively promote the digital transformation and upgrading of Jiangsu's lighting Industry, strive to build a new industrial ecosystem of "digital lighting networks," and accelerate the process of intelligent transformation and digital specialization in the lighting industry.

In his address, Duan Xiong, former First-Level Inspector of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology, stated that Jiangsu's lighting industry possesses strong industrial development and technological advantages. He expressed hope that the Jiangsu Lighting Electrical Association would, based on the new stage and shouldering new missions, be guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. First, it must persist in technological innovation to expand space, win markets, and seek development, as well as increase product variety, improve quality, and build brands through innovation. Second, it should actively build platforms for technological innovation exchange, promote industry interaction and mutual learning, guide enterprises toward cooperative win-win outcomes, and lead the lighting industry toward steady and long-term development through technological innovation. Third, it must promote the development of lighting technology in Jiangsu, showcase achievements in Jiangsu's lighting technology, and drive the Jiangsu lighting industry toward high-level management, high-quality products, high-quality results, and high value-added services. The goal is to transform Jiangsu's lighting industry into an innovation-driven technological industry, a health-led green industry, and an integrated smart industry, thereby comprehensively promoting the high-quality development of Jiangsu's lighting sector.
