Premium Case Sharing — Jiangsu Yancheng Jianhu County Road Lighting Renovation Project

(I) Current Status Before Renovation

1. Current Situation 1: The road lighting facilities planned for renovation in this project have a long history of infrastructure construction, with extended installation and usage periods. The facilities are aging, and the lamp arms and luminaire interfaces show signs of rust and corrosion, posing potential safety hazards.

2. Current Situation II: Severe lumen depreciation and color temperature drift in some street lights; light color parameters no longer meet the basic requirements for road lighting, failing to achieve the required average illuminance, posing certain safety hazards.

(II) Renovation Plan

1. Concept

· Road lighting can fully reflect functional attributes and regional styles;

· Road lighting in the core area has a distinct theme, reflecting the urban characteristics of the central district;

· Avoid excessive light pollution, which causes visual and psychological discomfort in people;

· Guide the renovation project with the concept of Green lighting to achieve the goal of Environmental protection and Energy saving;

· Safety first.

2. Measures

Replace the old lamp housing with a new one featuring a powder-coated and baked enamel surface, providing a corrosion-resistant protective film.

· Replace old light sources with Panda Lighting Sanle brand LED luminaires, featuring stable and reliable performance, high luminous efficacy, batwing distribution, enhancing optical performance while ensuring uniform light output without stray light for uniform road lighting.

(III) Current status of the renovation

Currently, multiple roads including Jiulong Avenue, Mingxing Road, Guanhua Road, and Yingbin Avenue have completed renovation. The project progress is nearing completion, with approximately 6,000 Street lights replaced and over 20,000 modules used.

After the project retrofit, energy saving exceeds 50% compared to the original sodium lamps. Not only is the overall illuminance increased by more than 20%, but the service life of the street lights is also extended. Moreover, the retrofitted street lights contain no lead, mercury, or other polluting elements, have an IP68 waterproof rating, cause no environmental pollution, reduce maintenance costs, and improve management efficiency.
