Jiangsu Announces Results of Quality Supervision Spot Checks on LED Lighting and Other Products

Recently, the website of the Jiangsu Provincial Administration for Market Regulation published the "Notice on the Results of the Provincial Supervisory Spot Check on the Quality of 55 Types of Products Including LED Lighting Products". The Jiangsu Provincial Administration for Market Regulation organized supervisory spot checks on the quality of 6 major categories and 55 types of products, including electronic appliances, machinery and security, building and decoration materials, light industry products, daily use and textile products, and food-related products. A total of 2,620 batches of products were inspected, and 188 batches of non-compliant products were found, with an average problem detection rate of 7.2%.

Among them, in the category of electrical and electronic products, a total of 1,033 batches of 29 types of products were sampled, including LED lighting products (fixed-type, embedded), RFID readers/writers, laptops, and LED reading lamps. The sampling results show:

1. LED lighting products (fixed, recessed). 79 batches of products were sampled; 8 batches were non-compliant, with a non-compliance rate of 10.1%.

The non-compliant items in the spot check are power terminal disturbance voltage, protection against electric shock, radiated electromagnetic disturbance, internal and external wiring, and limits (5 indicators). Power terminal disturbance voltage was non-compliant for 5 batches, protection against electric shock for 5 batches, radiated electromagnetic disturbance for 6 batches, internal and external wiring for 8 batches, and limits for 3 batches.

2. Reading and writing desk lamp (LED). A random sample of 49 batches was taken, with 2 batches found non-compliant, resulting in a non-conformance rate of 4.1%.

The items failing the spot check are optoelectronic characteristics, structure, external wiring, and internal wiring (3 indicators). Two batches of products failed in optoelectronic characteristics; one batch failed in structure; two batches failed in external wiring and internal wiring.
