Wuxi's "Pearl of the Canal" is now lit up!

It was learned from Wuxi Lighting Co., Ltd. that the supporting lighting system for the Huangbudun Emergency Flood Control Repair Project has been completed and officially illuminated recently. A dazzling "Pearl of the Canal" has reappeared over the emerald waters, allowing the millennia-old Jiangnan culture to shine once again.

Huangbudun has a unique geographical location and a small site area. How can night lighting add a layer of brilliance and a touch of novelty to the island? According to reports, since this Huangbudun restoration project is an emergency flood control project, the lighting design was carried out under the major premise of not altering the original state of the cultural relic. It fully explores the historical and cultural heritage of Huangbudun, and on the basis of maintaining the authenticity of its appearance, uses light to enhance the texture of the historic architecture.

Huangbudun is known as "Little Jinshan," and in the minds of Wuxi residents, it has always been characterized by a golden-yellow color scheme. This lighting project maintains Huangbudun's main image as a "floating mountain of gold," reflecting its deep historical and cultural heritage. At the same time, unlike the opulent appearance of traditional commercial ancient buildings, it creates an atmosphere of "great hermits hidden within the city."

As the boat approaches the entrance to Huangbudun, the point lighting on the floating dock guides the cruise ship to dock. The surrounding walls are floodlit, and the lighting at the top of the main landscape feature, "Zhengqi Tower," highlights the structural beauty of the overhanging eaves and flying beams. The interplay of light and shadow on the tiled roof, complemented by the landscape greenery lighting, makes the ancient architecture appear partially hidden among the rustling leaves, inviting visitors to explore further.

It is reported that with the completion of the renovation project, Huangbudun will be regularly illuminated at night according to the city's lighting plan. Citizens taking night boat tours or strolling along the canal will be able to witness the dazzling new look of the "Pearl of the Canal".
