5月30日，南涧县“点亮中国偏乡”护眼灯具捐赠仪式在碧溪乡回龙山小学举办。据悉，立达信与泉水基金会为当地14所乡村学校捐赠了价值100万元的护眼教室灯，这已是项目在当地的第四批捐赠，累计42所乡村学校受益，捐赠价值超350万元，基本做到了南涧县除教学点以外的乡村学校全覆盖，也是“点亮中国偏乡”在单个县域捐赠量最大、捐赠比例最高的地区。

In August 2020, with the facilitation of the Dali Prefecture Education Bureau and Ms. Liu Chunyun, Lextar's Yunnan partner, the "Lighting Up China's Remote Areas" public welfare project made its first visit to Nanjian County. Education bureau leaders paid close attention, dedicated staff fully engaged and provided strong support, ensuring the project was implemented successfully and efficiently. Our seamless collaboration allowed us to deeply feel the high priority that Nanjian County leaders attach to myopia prevention and control work. Consequently, three additional donation batches followed.

"For years, remote rural schools have been plagued by classroom lighting with 'low illuminance, severe flicker, severe glare, and low CRI', while the visual health of children concerns countless families." said Principal Yang Jizong of Nanjian County No. 2 Middle School.

Principal Yang stated: The launch of 'Lighting Up China's Remote Areas' has improved the aging lighting facilities and teaching environments of local schools, providing a more comfortable setting for students' visual and mental health. Whether on cloudy or rainy days, or in winter, autumn, spring, or summer, classrooms at night are as healthy and bright as under natural light.

Student representative Luo Jie went on stage to express gratitude. She said: "After our classroom was equipped with eye-protection lamps, morning and evening study sessions are much brighter, even on rainy days. Remarkably, these lamps provide bright illumination without being glaring, making the blackboard writing clearer for everyone. Thank you to all the kind-hearted donors and leaders for your concern. While we work hard in our studies, we will also take good care of our eyes, strive to become talented individuals, and contribute to building our motherland."

It is reported that to illuminate the sound of reading in rural schools, to protect those pure and bright eyes, and for countless futures with infinite possibilities. In April 2014, 'Light Up China's Remote Areas' lit up its first school. Over eight years, warm and caring luminaire lights have benefited more than 1,400 rural schools nationwide, with cumulative donated eye-protection luminaires valued at over 100 million yuan, safeguarding the vision health of millions of rural teachers and students.

According to reports, on May 30, 14 schools in districts and counties including Yunyang, Fengdu, Yongchuan, etc., were equipped with full-spectrum light sources using red-green-blue-white-yellow five-primary-color LED mixing technology for multi-color temperature classroom lighting general eye-protection lamps, providing more comfortable and bright lighting color. Originally, this was a donation by Chongqing Green Technology Development (Group) Co., Ltd., a overseas-funded tech enterprise coordinated by Chongqing Municipal People's Congress representative Deng Mingjian, totaling 5,946 units with a market value of 15.39 million yuan .

"Children use their eyes extensively while studying in the classroom; classroom lighting has a significant impact on vision." Deng Mingjian discovered during his field visits that schools are gradually attaching importance to classroom lighting issues. Some schools have carried out lighting renovations, but problems such as insufficient luminance, flicker, and glare still persist. In Deng Mingjian's view, to prevent and control myopia in students and help children maintain good eye-use habits, it is essential to improve and perfect classroom lighting conditions.

Therefore, in April this year, Deng Mingjian coordinated with Chongqing Green Technology Development (Group) Co., Ltd., a foreign-funded technology enterprise, to launch a donation campaign for full-spectrum eye-protection classroom lighting to the following schools via the Municipal Charity Federation and the Municipal Daei Yu Shang Charity Foundation: Yunyang County Panshi Primary School, Qinglong Primary School; Fengdu County Lizixiang Junior Middle School, Lizixiang Central Kindergarten, Lizixiang Central Primary School, Sanjianxiang Central School, Sanjianxiang Caisenba Complete Primary School; Yuzhong District Zhonghua Road Primary School Zhuyuan Branch; Qianjiang District People's Primary School; Dianjiang County Dashix Primary School; Hechuan District Tangqian Town Central Complete Primary School; Changnan Middle School, Banqiao Town Kindergarten, and Chongqing Vocational College of Architecture and Technology in Yongchuan District.

In early May, these full-spectrum eye-protection lights were put into use, benefiting 25,000 teachers and students and receiving high praise from them. "Switching to the new eye-protection lights has not only made the lighting brighter but also softer and more comfortable in color," said a student representative from Fengdu County Lizixiang Junior High School.

It is understood that this luminaire was developed based on smart lighting technology approved in 2019 as a "National Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development Green Lighting Technology Demonstration Project" by a Chinese-funded tech enterprise utilizing 6 national invention patents, over 60 utility model patents, and 8 computer software copyrights as independent intellectual property rights. It also adheres to the latest North American Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) international color quality evaluation standard TM-30-15. This luminaire meets the Color temperature requirement of 5300K specified in the "GB 40070-2021 Hygienic Requirements for Myopia Prevention and Control of Learning Materials for Children and Adolescents."
