First release! Lighting standards for classrooms in primary and secondary schools in Wenzhou are now in place!

Recently, the Wenzhou Municipal Market Regulation Administration, Municipal Education Bureau, and Municipal Academy of Standardization jointly released two group standards: "Technical Specification for Classroom Lighting in Primary and Secondary Schools" and "Hand-Cranked Adjustable Desks and Chairs." It is reported that this is the first time Wenzhou City has issued a series of group standards for educational equipment, which will officially take effect on June 15 this year.

Among them, the group standard 'Technical Specification for Lighting in Primary and Secondary School Classrooms' combines practical experience from lighting retrofit projects in Wenzhou, fully considering that primary and secondary school students are in a critical period of growth and development, and has made improvements to maintained average illuminance, glare, flicker, blue light hazard, visual terminal luminance uniformity, etc.

同时考虑到更好地保障儿童的视觉舒适度，增加了垂直照度的要求，体现“立体用光”理念，眩光直接影响到孩子眼睛的舒适度，国家标准GB/T 36876《中小学校普通教室照明设计安装卫生要求》中的规定是统一眩光值UGR≤19，本标准提升要求为UGR≤16，进一步呵护中小学生的眼睛健康。

据悉，温州已连续三年通过实施“民生实事项目”，投入财政资金1.64亿元，完成全市2.4万间教室灯光照明标准化改造，购置可调节课桌椅，为学生打造更加舒适健康的视觉环境。去年5月，温州获批成为2020年全国儿童青少年视力健康管理先行示范区，是目前全国唯一获批地区。
