National Standard | Two technical standards related to urban street light control systems officially implemented from May 1!
GB/T 40785-2021 "Information technology—Technical requirements for urban street light access control systems" and GB/T 40779-2021 "Information technology—Telecommunications and information exchange between systems—Low-voltage power line communication protocol applied to urban street light access" officially came into effect on May 1, 2022. These standards help resolve issues such as inconsistent technical standards and chaotic communication protocols in domestic street light control systems, providing technical standardization and guidance.

This national standard is a technical standard covering design, manufacturing, and application. It is also the product of an organic integration of communication information technology, control technology, and road lighting. The standard specifies the architecture for street light access control systems in urban areas and defines the technical requirements applicable to such systems. It applies to the design, manufacturing, and application of urban street lights and access control systems using low-voltage power lines (220 V/380 V voltage level).
