II. What is the significance of the CLITI exhibition for the lighting industry?
The CLITI Exhibition is the annual core event led by the China Association of Lighting Industry (CALI), themed "Technology Innovation Integration, Intelligent Green Quality Improvement". Its content covers the entire lighting industry supply chain, including smart health and low-carbon technologies, finished lighting products, raw materials/components, optoelectronic devices/modules, power supplies/drivers/controls, accessories/kits, production/testing equipment, and testing/certification/information services. The China Association of Lighting Industry will also comprehensively organize various industry-related activities around the CLITI Exhibition, concentrating all major annual events and resources there, and continuing to hold it as a regular annual key activity of the association.
In short, the CLITI Exhibition will not merely exist as a trade show; its goal is to build a new comprehensive "Conference + Exhibition" integrated platform for global lighting industry business matching, information dissemination, and showcasing technological innovation achievements. 6. What should be done if the CLITI exhibition encounters sudden situations such as an epidemic?
First, the China Association of Lighting Industry (CALI), as the home for lighting enterprises, embodies the responsibility of a national-level industry association. In the event of sudden circumstances such as an epidemic, we will uphold a responsible attitude, improve emergency plans, fully safeguard the interests of exhibiting enterprises, and make every effort to minimize their losses. A case in point: in March 2020, with Light + Building approaching in Germany, the exhibition was urgently postponed due to the spread of the novel coronavirus. Despite numerous expenses already incurred, CALI, acting as the organizing group, absorbed losses amounting to hundreds of thousands of yuan covering flight bookings, hotel reservations, booth construction, and more, thereby fully protecting the interests of the accompanying enterprises and demonstrating the association's stance as a responsible institution.
Additionally, the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center has an exhibition area of 400,000 square meters, ranking first in scale within China; if the exhibition is postponed for any reason, it also has ample room for rescheduling.
