Youchang's lighting project in Northwest China promotes regional development

People's Square covers an area of 40,000 square meters, with a north-south length of 220 meters and an east-west width of 185 meters. The green space spans 17,000 square meters. For half a century, People's Square has been the center of politics, culture, and entertainment in Urumqi, serving as the primary venue for major gatherings and celebrations held by both the autonomous region and Urumqi municipal governments.

People's Square is the most popular place in Urumqi. It is spacious and clean, surrounded by lush green trees. Not only the high-rise buildings, but also the lighting Solution for People's Square and the Monument to the Chinese People's Liberation Army within the square is provided by Youchang. The monument is the most distinctive building in the square; it was relocated in 1995 to celebrate the fortieth anniversary of the establishment of the Northwest Autonomous Region. Standing on the south side of People's Square, the monument has a square shape, covers an area of 900 square meters, and has a total height of 32.6 meters. The entire monument consists of three parts: the stele body, the pedestal, and the platform. The monument embodies the eternal remembrance of all ethnic groups in the Northwest region for the great achievements created by all PLA officers and soldiers. This is also the most important building in People's Square.
