Fairmont Maldives, Sirru Fen Fushi:

Premium Resort Hotel Lighting Project

Fairmont Maldives, Sirru Fen Fushi is nestled in the lush inland jungle of a Maldivian island. The hotel's copper fittings and carved wooden furniture add a bohemian chic ambiance to the villas. Its strong safari style offers guests a novel accommodation experience, allowing travelers to fully enjoy the gentle sea breeze and swaying leaves.

Lux completed this project in 2017, responsible for the supply and installation of architectural lighting, decorative luminaires, and underwater fiber optics, including the supply of all downlights, light strips, landscape lights, and outdoor lights. During the process, Lux specially assigned a project manager to work closely with the technical team to ensure the careful and skillful installation of exquisite custom lighting decorations.

Fear no difficulties, rise to the challenge

With extensive industry experience and advanced lighting technology, Lux upholds the corporate spirit of "rising to challenges" in the face of difficulties. In this project, besides the tight engineering timeline of only 6 months, a constrained budget was also a major challenge. The team had to repeatedly communicate and negotiate with suppliers in Europe and China to select the most suitable materials, aiming to create lighting products of optimal quality and performance, and complete the renovation within a short timeframe. Ultimately, the project was not only completed on schedule but also seamlessly integrated high-quality lighting products into the distinctive Fairmont Maldives hotel.

Meticulous attention to detail, striving for perfection

Underwater lighting and specially customized luminaires are the two main features of this project.

First, Lux installed an underwater lighting system for the hotel's swimming pool. This pool is the longest infinity pool in the Maldives, with a total length of 200 meters. Therefore, Lux installed a total of 65,000 meters of fiber optic cables and up to 30 fiber optic engines in the pool. In addition, the pool lights use ultra-low power wireless technology from the German brand WIBRE, saving power consumption and reducing the hotel's operating costs.

Furthermore, Lux added many custom-made glass decorative lighting pieces to the hotel, such as wall sconces, pendant lights, and ceiling lights. During the luminaire production process, the designers experimented with different suspension cord lengths, luminaire shapes, and sizes to create glass decorative luminaires with distinct aesthetics. They visited the factory multiple times with the team to supervise production and strive for perfection. Under the reflection of the glass, light and shadow intertwine, illuminating every corner of the hotel and highlighting the unique character of each area.

It is evident that the team's meticulous attitude and pursuit of perfection have created the stunning Fairmont Maldives, Sirru Fen Fushi. In the end, both the client and the design master praised the project highly, and the designer was proud to participate in this project, co-creating a perfect resort with LUX.
