The end of the year is generally a high-frequency period for executive personnel changes, especially during phases of significant industry shifts, including resignations and internal transfers.
For example, on December 22, Huarong Shares announced that Mr. Hu Zhirong, the General Manager, submitted his resignation to the Board of Directors recently, citing considerations for the company's operational management and long-term development strategy. He applied to resign from the position of General Manager. After his resignation, he will continue to serve as the Chairman of the Board and the Director of the Strategic Committee of the Board. Following his resignation as General Manager, Mr. Hu Zhirong will devote more energy to strengthening the construction of the Board of Directors, planning the company's long-term strategic layout, and improving and optimizing the corporate governance structure.
Mr. Li Miaohua, Deputy General Manager of the Company, recently submitted his resignation report to the Board of Directors to devote more time and energy to the operation and management of Huarong Lighting Co., Ltd. and Huarong Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., applying to resign from his position as Deputy General Manager. After resignation, he will continue to serve as a Director of the Company and as a member of the Remuneration and Assessment Committee of the Board of Directors.
Upon nomination by the Board of Directors and review by the Nomination Committee of the Board, Mr. Li Jiang has been appointed as General Manager of the Company, and his former position as Deputy General Manager is hereby automatically vacated.
On December 21, Qinshang Shares announced that the Board of Directors received the resignation letter of Mr. Sun Meng, Deputy General Manager of the company, on December 21, 2021. Mr. Sun Meng has applied to resign from his position as Deputy General Manager due to personal reasons and will not hold any other positions in the company after his resignation. The aforementioned resignation letter shall take effect from the date it is delivered to the Board of Directors. Mr. Sun Meng's resignation will not affect the normal operation of the company's related work.
Of course, throughout the year, personnel turnover in the lighting industry never ceased. As the year comes to an end, we have compiled a list of executive changes in the lighting sector in 2021 (incomplete statistics). Let’s take a look.
On December 10, Yangguang Lighting issued an announcement stating that Qi Xiaoming, the company's Executive Deputy General Manager, would act as the General Manager of Yangguang Lighting. The Board of Directors also proposed to nominate Mr. Qi Xiaoming as a candidate for director of the Ninth Board of Directors. It is reported that on August 19, Yangguang Lighting announced its approval of the appointment of Mr. QI XIAOMING (Qi Xiaoming) as the company's Executive Deputy General Manager. Meanwhile, the announcement on December 10 also stated that Guan Yong resigned from his positions as director, General Manager, and other related roles on the Board of Directors due to personal reasons, and will no longer hold any position in the company after his resignation.
On November 22, Hongli Zhihui issued an announcement approving the election of Mr. Li Jundong as the Chairman of the Board. In view of the fact that Mr. Li Guoping, the former Chairman of Hongli Zhihui, is the company's founder and has served as Chairman since the first session of the Board of Directors, making irreplaceable contributions to the establishment and development of the company over the past years, the Board of Directors has agreed to confer upon Mr. Li Guoping the title of Honorary Chairman.
On November 16, MLS Co., Ltd. announced the appointment of Tang Guoqing as Executive General Manager of the company. At the same time, it issued an announcement stating that Zheng Mingbo, a director of the Fourth Board of Directors, has applied to resign from his positions as director of the Fourth Board of Directors, member of the Strategy and Development Committee, and member of the Audit Committee due to work adjustments. Mr. Zheng Mingbo will continue to serve as Deputy General Manager of the company.
On November 16, Fengshang Culture announced that it agreed to appoint Ms. Yang Xuehong and Ms. Wu Yan as Deputy General Managers of the company, with their terms effective from the date of approval by the Board of Directors until the expiration of the term of the third Board of Directors.
On November 15, Tailong Shares announced that due to the expiration of his term, Zhuang Zhanlong, General Manager of the third board of directors, would no longer serve as General Manager but would continue to hold the positions of Chairman of the fourth board of directors and other roles within the company. Meanwhile, Yuan Yi was appointed as a director and General Manager, Su Fang as Board Secretary, Huang Guorong and Cheng Xiaoyu as Deputy General Managers, and Du Yanli as Chief Financial Officer.
On September 7, Foshan NationStar Optoelectronics announced that the Company recently received a written resignation report from Wang Guangjun, Chairman of the Board. Due to adjustments in work arrangements, Wang Guangjun has applied to resign from his positions as Chairman of the Board and Director of the Fifth Session of the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors has agreed to appoint Li Cheng as the Company's President, who will be fully responsible for the Company's operational and management work.
On May 25, ST Dehao (Dehao Runda) announced that the Board of Directors elected Ji Xuebin as Chairman of the Sixth Board of Directors. Previously, the company's former Chairman, Mr. Wang Sheng, and Director, Mr. Wang Donglei, resigned. The announcement stated that Mr. Wang Sheng applied to resign as Chairman due to personal reasons. As for Mr. Wang Donglei's resignation, according to the announcement, it was because some investors raised objections regarding his eligibility to serve as a director; after careful consideration, he applied to resign from his positions as a company director and member of the Board's specialized committees. On April 27, ST Dehao also received the resignation letter from Jiang Xiaoan, the company's Executive Deputy General Manager and Board Secretary.
On March 2, Inventronics announced the appointment of Ms. Yao Yonghua as Deputy General Manager and Financial Controller of the company. On September 8, another announcement was made appointing Ms. Huang Meilan and Mr. Xiong Daifu as Deputy General Managers.
In March, US lighting design firm HLB Lighting Design (HLB) announced that Senior Executive Chairman and Co-CEO Barbara Horton retired effective March 1. Following Barbara's retirement, Carrie Hawley will serve as the sole CEO.
On February 23, OSRAM announced the appointment of Ingo Bank as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), with his term lasting until April 2023. Ingo Bank also serves as the CFO of ams. The former CEO, Olaf Berlien, left the company on February 28.
On February 18, Absen issued an announcement stating that Mr. Ding Yanhui, Chairman of the Board and General Manager, has resigned from his position as General Manager but will continue to serve as Chairman of the Board. Meanwhile, the appointment of Mr. Ding Chongbin as General Manager of the company was approved.
On February 5, Ledman Optoelectronics announced that Ms. Luo Bing has applied to resign from her positions as Director, Vice President, and Board Secretary of the company due to personal reasons. After her resignation, Ms. Luo Bing will no longer hold any position in the company.
On January 23, Mingjiahui announced the resignation of Ms. Ling Youdi, Vice President and Board Secretary of the company. She applied to resign from her positions as Vice President and Board Secretary due to personal development reasons and will no longer hold any position in the company after her resignation.
On January 18, Grand Canyon Lighting Systems (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. issued an announcement officially establishing the "General Lighting Business Unit" and invited Lin Jiliang to serve as CEO of the Grand Canyon Group's General Lighting Business Unit. Lin Jiliang will independently operate the subsidiary. It is reported that Lin Jiliang left LEDVANCE in May 2020. In 2016, Lin Jiliang was appointed Executive General Manager of MLS Co., Ltd., and in November 2018, he was appointed as the new CEO and Managing Director of LEDVANCE.
