These lighting companies fired the first shot of price increases in 2022
Price increases have become commonplace this year. However, they will occur again next year.
Recently, companies such as Simon Electric, Siemens, Cidoni Lighting, Qiyi Group, and Orvibo have successively released notifications of the latest price adjustments, announcing the first round of price increases for 2022.
According to these notices, the price increases will take effect from January 1, 2022, with increases ranging from 3% to 10%.
Starting January 1, 2022, Simon Electric has increased the ERP prices of most products by 5%-10% and eliminated the 2% annual rebate for the DO sales channel.

Siemens will adjust prices for 24 product series, including VDI box, Zhiyi, Lingyun, General, Damped Floor Socket, Haorui, Floor Socket, and Zhiqi, on January 1, 2022, with an increase of approximately 3%-5%.

Cidon Lighting will adjust lighting product prices effective January 1, 2022, with an overall increase of 3-5%. Commercial lighting products, residential decoration products, and industrial and public building products will all see an increase of approximately 3-5%.

On December 10, Qi Yi issued the "Notice of Product Price Adjustment" to dealers, experience stores, specialty stores, and related business partners nationwide, deciding to make appropriate adjustments to product prices effective January 1, 2022.

Orvibo will increase the market retail prices of MixPad Mini and MixSwitch series products starting from January 1, 2022.

According to the price increase notice, the drivers of this round of price increases are: rising raw material prices and supply chain pressures.
Among them, Qiyi Group mentioned that due to recent policy factors such as the national "dual control of energy consumption" and "power rationing and production restrictions," raw material costs have surged sharply.
However, on the other hand, as the year-end approaches, a batch of decorative lighting companies has issued "order cessation" notices in advance, with the first wave of order stoppages starting around December 10.
According to media reports, Huayi Lighting, Guanhua Lighting, Renisi, Erman Lighting, Yijia Lighting, Marsden Lighting, Baohui Group, Aishihua Decorative lighting, and others have issued notices such as "stop accepting orders," "place orders in advance," or "holiday announcements." It is reported that a considerable number of lighting companies have already stopped accepting orders, or require orders to be shipped after the Chinese New Year.

Based on the notices published by companies, many decorative lighting enterprises have advanced their "order suspension" plans and Spring Festival holiday schedules. The main reasons cited include: 1. The approaching Spring Festival and the impact of the pandemic; 2. Order saturation; 3. Most suppliers have stopped accepting orders; 4. Extended product production cycles.
How will the new year address challenges? Are lighting companies ready?
