The Tianjin Tianjian Shanghai Road Tunnel is another exploration by Youchang in tunnel projects. The Tianjian area has obvious location advantages, bordering the Jiefang Road commercial district to the west, facing the Xiangluowan Business District across the river, adjacent to the Yujiapu Financial District to the south, and close to the Binhai New Area Administrative Center and the Xin港 Multi-functional Zone to the east. It is the integration point of surrounding functions and the core of the region.

As the area undergoes phased development, a significant increase in traffic volume is inevitable, intensifying pressure on roads around Tianjian. Therefore, it is necessary to add new connecting passages based on existing roads. Based on surrounding geotechnical survey data and relevant engineering experience, the construction of the Shanghai Avenue Tunnel was finally determined. The tunnel starts from the planned Baoxiang Road in the west and ends at Central Avenue in the east, with a route length of 547 meters.

As a main road, Shanghai Avenue requires an average illuminance of no less than 30 lx. In line with road requirements, Youchang designs lighting solutions for tunnels with professional and flexible technology.

Lighting Layout for Road and U-shaped Trench Sections

Since the lighting facilities on the Shanghai Avenue section (Xinhua Road ~ Baoxiang Road) have already been implemented, and considering consistency with the existing lighting infrastructure, the lighting scheme for this project is as follows: symmetrical luminaire arrangement along the side medians on both sides, with 12-meter-high poles, single-sided brackets, pole spacing of 40 meters, and 400W High-pressure sodium lamp (HPS) used on the motor vehicle lane side.

Lighting Layout for Enclosed Box Section

Adopts a symmetrical lighting layout with lights tucked at both sides. The tunnel lighting uses straight-tube light sources, with each lamp approximately 1.2 meters long and equipped with 2x18W LED light sources. An additional row of light strips, approximately 20 meters long, is added to each side at the box entrance, and an additional row of light strips, approximately 30 meters long, is added to each side at the exit for enhanced illumination.
