Gao Fei, Executive Vice Chairman of the China Illuminating Engineering Society

As a crucial region for the lighting industry, the Yangtze River Delta plays a vital role in the development of the entire lighting sector. It gathers outstanding enterprises that will make immeasurable contributions to advancing China's lighting technology.

In the face of current challenges in the lighting industry, such as power supply shortages, funding gaps, and rising raw material prices, products like UV lamps and smart light poles are achieving cross-industry innovation and rebirth through expanded applications. We believe the Yangtze River Delta Integrated Lighting Industry Alliance will provide a broad platform for the industry.

6.jpg

Wang Zhuo, Secretary-General of the China Association of Lighting Industry (CALI)

Currently, intelligence and health are the two main drivers reshaping the value of light and promoting China's lighting industry to reach a new level. Green and low-carbon development is a solemn commitment made by China to the world. While providing high-quality lighting products and energy saving services to the global lighting market, how to actively promote the green and sustainable development of the industry itself is a common challenge faced by everyone who loves the lighting industry.

This event provides a platform for exchange and cooperation in the lighting industry of the Yangtze River Delta and surrounding areas, jointly discussing how to promote regional coordinated development, advance green and low-carbon development, and ultimately achieve high-quality development. We believe that through the participation of the Yangtze River Delta Industry Alliance, continuous exploration and promotion will fully implement the trend of regionalized development.

7.jpg

Ruan Jun, Secretary-General of the China Solid State Lighting Alliance

Upstream chip prices in the lighting industry have risen by 15–20%, driving up chip costs, while other raw materials are also increasing. Against the backdrop of changing market conditions, we must continue to excel in the chip sector, drive innovation, and focus on niche application markets.

The Ministry of Science and Technology is deploying new R&D projects, including UV, light health, smart lighting, plant lighting, LED displays, and more. These are key areas of focus for enterprises and research institutions to further enhance our innovation capabilities and drive high-quality industry development. Today's forum is a new response to the changing landscape, enabling industrial synergy and building a more complete industry ecosystem. Therefore, the convening of today's conference is highly commendable.
