Henan Provincial Market Regulation Administration: 1 batch of LED lighting products for non-road use failed inspection

Recently, the Henan Provincial Market Supervision and Administration completed quality supervision spot checks on 18 types of products including aluminum alloy building profiles, dry-mixed mortar, manufactured sand, exterior wall coatings for buildings, synthetic resin emulsion interior wall coatings, paints, metal-faced thermal insulation sandwich panels for buildings, denatured fuel ethanol, ethanol-blended gasoline blending components for vehicles, urea aqueous solution, tires, paper containers for food contact, plastic packaging containers and tools for food use, disposable plastic tableware, disposable plastic straws, paper and cardboard materials for food, LED lighting products for non-road use, spring soft mattresses, etc.

A total of 568 batches of products produced and sold by 554 enterprises were sampled and tested. It was found that 17 batches of products did not meet the standard requirements (including one batch of LED lighting products for non-road use).

The results of the quality supervision spot check on LED lighting products for non-road use are as follows:

A total of 19 batches of non-road lighting LED lamp products produced and sold by 15 enterprises across 8 cities/counties (Xinxiang, Sanmenxia, Luoyang, Anyang, Zhengzhou, Hebi, Luohe, Lankao) were inspected. Among them, 1 batch of non-road lighting LED lamp products did not meet the standard requirements, resulting in a non-compliance rate of 5.3%.

Inspection focused on items such as lamp cap interchangeability (replaceable parts), protection against accidental contact with live parts, insulation resistance (damp condition), dielectric strength (damp condition), mechanical strength, heat resistance, fire and flame retardancy (glowing wire test), power, power factor (PF), luminous efficacy, luminous flux, color rendering index (CRI), correlated color temperature (CCT), and chromaticity tolerance (color difference). The non-compliant item involved heat resistance.

Jiuyao Lighting Business (designated manufacturer: Jiangmen Zhicheng Lighting Co., Ltd.) in Longhu Town, Xinzheng City sold 1 batch of embedded LED ceiling light/downlight. In the heat resistance test: ① Components that position current-carrying parts or safety extra-low voltage parts lacked sufficient heat resistance; according to the standard, external insulating material components providing protection against electric shock, as well as insulating material components positioning current-carrying parts or safety extra-low voltage parts, must have sufficient heat resistance. ② The measured indentation diameter was 5.1mm, while the standard requires an indentation diameter ≤2mm.
