2021 China Light Quality Lighting Forum Successfully Held

2021 On the afternoon of August 3, coinciding with the 26th Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition, the '2021 China Light Quality Lighting Forum,' hosted by the China Association of Lighting Industry (CALI) and Guangzhou Guangya Frankfurt Exhibition Co., Ltd., was held at the Guangzhou Pazhou Exhibition Center. This is the fourth consecutive Light Quality Forum held during the GILE. The theme of this year's forum is 'Smart IoT Helps Improve Light Quality.' Considering the current pandemic situation in some parts of China, the conference also held simultaneous online livestreaming, providing convenience for lighting industry colleagues across the country to participate. The meeting invited Wang Zhuo, Secretary-General of CALI, to deliver an address, and was hosted by Professor He Kaijun of the Xiamen LED Industry Promotion Center.

In his address, Wang Zhuo, Secretary-General of CALI, pointed out that intelligence and health are the two driving forces for the development of the lighting industry over the next five to ten years. The combination of smart technology and lighting will further tap the energy-saving potential of lighting systems while creating light environments that are more conducive to visual and mental health for users, supporting the country's modernization drive and fulfilling residents' aspirations for a better life.

The conference invited multiple representatives from enterprises, design institutes, and other organizations to deliver keynote reports on the development of smart lighting and light quality, sharing and exchanging views on the topics of greatest concern within and outside the industry, such as how to promote the intelligent development of lighting industry products and improve the light quality of end products.

Kong Lingqun, Deputy General Manager of Tuya Smart South China Region, delivered a presentation titled "Rapid IoT Intelligence, Breaking the Internal Competition in the Traditional Lighting Industry", introducing how Tuya Smart has achieved lighting solutions in terms of realizing product intelligence and the market situation of smart products.

Zhong Shiquan, Deputy Director of the Third Mechanical and Electrical Design Research Institute of Guangdong Provincial Architectural Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd., delivered a presentation titled "Discussion on Green Lighting Technology for Transportation Buildings", sharing five main aspects including the understanding of green lighting, design analysis, and case analysis.

Li Binghua, Chief Electrical Engineer of CCDI, delivered a report titled "Smart Lighting Control and Light Quality". He explained the background of the report and the important role played by the lighting industry in achieving the dual-carbon strategic goals, with an emphasis on the key factors affecting light quality.

Li Haibo, Vice President of Marketing at NVC Lighting, gave a presentation titled "Light Follows the Heart, Intelligence Lights the Future", in which he mainly introduced NVC Lighting's new ecosystem, new strategy, new layout and new image. He also showcased the changes in NVC Lighting's new image and logo. The new image is more modern and technological, and better aligns with the aesthetic tastes of the post-80s and post-90s generations.

Professor He Kaijun of the Xiamen LED Industry Promotion Center delivered a presentation titled 'Exploring the Direction of Improving Light Quality through Smart IoT,' focused on light quality, introducing the learning and understanding process of light quality, the philosophical guiding ideology, and progress in light color theory.

The experts each delivered brilliant speeches on the forum theme. The forum attracted more than 500 online and offline attendees, and the meeting achieved a complete success. This conference was co-organized by Hangzhou Tuya Information Technology Co., Ltd. and NVC Lighting (Huizhou) Technology Co., Ltd., with support from 'Lighting' of the China Illumination Association, the Guangdong Illuminating Appliance Association, the Zhejiang Illuminating Appliance Association, the Jiangsu Illuminating Appliance Association, the Gaoyou Luminaires Association, and the Zhongshan Solid-state Lighting Industry Association.
