Updated again! Follow DLC Horticultural Lighting V2.1 Final

In the current overall LED landscape, horticultural lighting has indeed become a breakthrough and growth point for many factories. In response to current market product conditions and following significant changes in the final V2.0 version, DLC has once again launched the implementation of the final V2.1 version. Compared to V2.0, V2.1 can be considered as making some supplements in response to the market; see the detailed interpretation below:

1. Added three new product categories: plant lights with built-in liquid cooling, DC-powered plant lights, LED tubes, and E39 lamp cap replaceable light sources.

Previously, many light source manufacturers asked whether their tubes and bulbs could be applied for horticultural lighting. Under version V2.1, they can now be used to apply for DLC horticultural lighting certification.

2. Timeline:

V2.1 took effect in September 2021 (delayed from the originally planned July to September);

Starting December 2021, only TM-33 format files will be accepted;

On December 31, 2021, products not meeting V2.0 requirements will be delisted. Please note that the deadline for upgrading from V1.2 to V2.0 is November 30, so do not wait until the last month to upgrade.

Special Notice: The DLC horticultural lighting submission system is currently undergoing upgrades. As of August 1, the review cycle for horticultural luminaires is 60 days. During this period, family group applications and private label applications are temporarily not accepted.

However, it is already mid-July, so this issue will not have a significant impact on new applications.

Currently, V2.0 has already started accepting family group applications and private label applications, making testing and application fees for horticultural lighting more affordable.
