Recently, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development released 13 national standards (mandatory / recommended), covering steel structures, urban road traffic, engineering structures, and more.

5. General Code for Steel Structures (GB 55006-2021)


6. Code for Urban Road Traffic Engineering Projects (GB55011-2021)


7. Code for Heating Engineering Projects (GB 55010-2021)


8. Code for Gas Engineering Projects (GB 55009-2021)


9. General Code for Masonry Structures (GB 55007-2021)


10. General Code for Timber Structures (GB 55005-2021)


11. General Code for Composite Structures (GB 55004-2021)


12. General Code for Building and Municipal Foundation (GB 55003-2021)


13. General Code for Seismic Design of Building and Municipal Engineering (GB 55002-2021)


The above national standards have been implemented since January 1, 2022. They are mandatory engineering construction standards, and all provisions must be strictly enforced. The relevant mandatory provisions in the current engineering construction standards are hereby repealed simultaneously. Where there are inconsistencies between the relevant provisions in the current engineering construction standards and the above standards, the provisions of the newly issued standards shall prevail.


Among them, standards such as the "General Code for Steel Structures" and the "Code for Urban Road Traffic Engineering Projects" have certain relevance to smart pole projects. The implementation of the above standards provides guidance for the healthy and orderly development of lighting engineering and smart poles.
