Another round of price increase notices is here!
A new wave of price increase notices has recently arrived. Many LED lighting-related companies, including BPSemi, Biwin Micro, Leyard, and MLS Co., Ltd., have issued price increase notices, with most effective dates set for July 1.
Leyard
On June 30, Leyard stated that due to the continuous rise in upstream raw material costs (semiconductor chips, PCB, chips, etc.), the procurement cost of LED module raw materials has increased to varying degrees, leading to a significant increase in supply costs. To ensure the company's sustainable development and adapt to market demand for LED displays, adjustments will be made to the entire series of indoor and outdoor products based on cost changes, effective immediately.
Signify
On June 28, Signify (China) Investment Co., Ltd. issued a notice regarding price adjustments for Philips brand LED modules and driver products in 2021. Signify has decided to adjust the suggested retail prices for the LED module and driver product lines effective June 29, 2021, with a recommended increase of 5-10%.
NVC Electric
The NVC Electrical price increase notice states that, upon receiving the latest price adjustment notification from NVC Electrical headquarters, due to the continuous rise in upstream raw material costs and in order to better meet customer needs and improve service levels, NVC Electrical has increased the ex-factory prices of its entire product series. After research and decision by the company, it is determined that the prices of all NVC Electrical products will be adjusted upward by varying margins (5%-10%) starting from July 1, 2021. The specific adjustment margins are subject to the system prices.
TCL Home Lighting
TCL Home Lighting announces that due to fluctuating increases in raw material prices, most suppliers have already raised their supply prices. In the foreseeable future, prices for chips and raw materials are likely to remain at high levels. Therefore, after careful consideration, the company has decided:
1. Prices for regular series products (excluding New Home Series products, custom engineering products, and special promotional products) will increase starting July 1. Nationwide provincial and municipal service providers will uniformly adjust their ex-factory prices.
2. As required by the Huizhou headquarters, prices for the "New Home" series will increase effective immediately. The "New Home" series will be offered at the latest promotional prices until July 1; after this date, standard latest prices will apply.
Aike Shares
The announcement released by Aike Shares regarding the adjustment of product prices indicates that, due to the impact of the pandemic and the overall rise in international bulk raw material prices, Aike Shares has decided to increase prices by 10-30% for different product series starting from July 1. The price adjustments will take effect for new contracts signed on or after July 1, 2021.
Fujian MLS Lighting
The contact letter issued by Fujian MLS Lighting Co., Ltd. on June 30 stated that due to the continuous rise in prices of various raw materials and chips in the market, in order to promote healthy production and business development for both supply and demand sides, the company has decided to increase the prices of all LED bead models by 5% based on the original prices, effective immediately.
Unilumin
Unilumin issued a statement on LED display product price adjustments, stating that due to the continuous rise in raw material prices such as semiconductor chips, LEDs, and PCBs, the cost of its LED display products has been increasing. The company has decided to adjust prices for all display product lines starting from July 1, 2021.
BPS
On June 30, BPSemi, a leading LED driver chip manufacturer, issued another price adjustment notice! Statistics show that in 2021, BPSemi issued a total of 7 price increase notices.
BPSemi stated that due to the continuous rise in upstream raw material costs, tight production capacity at wafer fabs and packaging and testing facilities, and long lead times, all previously effective orders not yet delivered and new orders will be subject to the adjusted new prices starting from July 1, 2021.
Biyi Micro
According to the notice from Biiwin Micro, due to the impact of the macro environment, upstream raw material prices continue to rise, and production capacity remains tight. The original prices can no longer meet supply demands. To secure production capacity and ensure product delivery, after careful consideration, the company has decided: starting from July 1, 2021, product prices will continue to be adjusted. The specific adjustment magnitude will be communicated by our sales representatives with your company. All unfulfilled orders will be executed at the adjusted new prices.
Chipone
Recently, ChipON issued a notice on price adjustments for LED driver products. All price adjustment plans will take effect from July 1, 2021. Starting from July 1, 2021, all undelivered orders will be uniformly canceled by the company. The company will continue to adjust prices in response to dynamic market changes in the future.
Lingqi Semiconductor
On June 30, in response to the broader impact of upstream wafer shortages and increased packaging prices, Lingqi Semiconductor has decided to raise prices for its entire product line effective July 1, in order to secure more resources and provide continuous and stable supply services. All unfulfilled orders and new orders will be executed at the new unit prices.

BYD Semiconductor
Recently, BYD Semiconductor notified customers that it has decided to adjust the prices of IPM (Intelligent Power Module) and IGBT discrete products (a type of power semiconductor device) effective July 1, 2021, with an increase of no less than 5%.
Dongke Semiconductor
On June 29, Dongke Semiconductor issued a price increase notice, stating that costs for upstream semiconductor enterprises have continued to rise significantly. Additionally, insufficient production capacity among upstream suppliers has led to continuously rising product costs. The company is no longer able to bear the substantial cost increases and, after careful consideration, has decided to adjust prices.

On June 23, Jingdao Electronics issued a price increase notice stating that due to continuous price hikes and tight supply of upstream key raw material wafers, costs have exceeded the company's tolerance, prompting a price adjustment. The new prices will take effect immediately upon the release of the notice.
According to available information, Shenzhen Jingdao Electronics Co., Ltd. is a professional semiconductor discrete device packaging enterprise. Its main products include bipolar transistors, power MOSFETs, Schottky diodes, fast recovery diodes, IC, etc., which are mainly used in computer switching power supplies, adapters, inverters, LED driver / power supply, energy-saving lamps, electronic ballast, and various chargers.
onsemi
Recently, onsemi issued a price increase notice to customers and distributors, with the effective date for certain products set for July 10 this year.
To ensure supply chain stability and meet customer demand, onsemi will take the following measures. First, price adjustments for the most affected product types will be reflected in the Q3 pricing cycle, effective July 10, 2021. Second, the firm order window for all products is changed to 120 days prior to the MRSD, meaning orders cannot be canceled or modified within this 120-day period; this measure takes effect on June 5, 2021. Third, if the MRSD falls outside the mutually agreed order scope, onsemi will initiate the NNCO (Non-Cancelable, Non-Returnable Order) process.
