Replace 1858 graphene LED lamps on Beijing Road, Kunming

To welcome the convening of the 15th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP15) and provide citizens with an excellent nighttime travel lighting environment and a beautiful night setting, the Kunming Municipal Urban Management Bureau implemented lighting upgrade and renovation works on Beijing Road.

Beijing Road starts at Kunming Station and ends at Fengyuan Road, with a total length of 11.8 km. It serves as the north-south central axis of Kunming city and the main framework for urban development. Along its route, it intersects with major thoroughfares such as the Second Ring Road, Renmin Road, and Jinbi Road. It functions as a functional, cultural, and scenic axis connecting key functional districts in the main urban area.

After the Spring Festival holiday, the Kunming Urban Management Bureau organized construction personnel to replace a total of 929 graphene LED lamps of 300W and 929 graphene LED lamps of 150W, completing this task in just 6 days.

According to reports, the new graphene LED light source features long service life, high energy saving rate, excellent lighting effect, and easy maintenance. Calculations show that after activation, the average illuminance on Beijing Road has increased from 16.8 lx before renovation to the upper limit of the Chinese National Standard (GB / GB/T), effectively improving road lighting quality and optimizing the nighttime traffic environment for citizens.

市城市管理局统计数字显示，截至目前，昆明主城区共有路灯143190盏，涉及道路1183条，共安装路灯智能控制柜1331台、路灯钟控开关65台，路灯智能控制率已达95.34%。未来，市城市管理局将积极推进民生工程建设，狠抓路灯管理工作，进一步提升昆明形象，方便市民夜间出行。
