3C Certification for Lighting Products: List of 34-Member Expert Panel Announced

Compulsory Product Certification, also known as 3C Certification, is a product evaluation system implemented by the Chinese government in accordance with laws and regulations to protect consumers' health and safety, safeguard the environment, and ensure national security. It requires that products must comply with National standard (mandatory / recommended) and relevant technical specifications before they can be manufactured, imported, or sold. Compulsory Product Certification must be conducted by certification bodies designated by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China (CNCA). Through the implementation of the compulsory product certification procedure, mandatory testing and review are carried out for products listed in the Catalogue of Products Subject to Compulsory Certification. Any product listed in the catalogue that has not obtained a certification certificate from a designated certification body or has not affixed the certification mark as required shall not be imported, leave the factory for sale, or be used in business service premises.

Recently, the official website of the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China released the "Announcement of the CNCA on Publishing the List of Members of the 6th Technical Expert Group for Compulsory Product Certification". The announcement stated that, in accordance with the "Administrative Measures for the Technical Expert Group for Compulsory Product Certification", the re-election work for the Technical Expert Group for Compulsory Product Certification has been completed, and the list of members of the 6th Technical Expert Group for Compulsory Product Certification is hereby published.

Among them, the TCO5 Lighting Appliances subgroup of the 6th Compulsory Product Certification Technical Expert Group consists of 34 members. Xing Heping from China Quality Certification Center serves as the group leader. OPPLE, OSRAM, Signify, Yangming Lighting, Tongshida, Huapu Yongming Optoelectronics, Mean Well Electronics, Leedarson, and Shanghai Yaming have been selected for the TC05 Lighting Appliances Expert Group.
