Based on successful test results from a Korea University research team showing 99.9% inactivation of the novel coronavirus within 30 seconds, Seoul Viosys is providing optimized UV LED solutions to major air conditioner manufacturers. Test results from the Guangzhou Institute of Microbiology (CGMT) in China show that Gree's new "Fresh Air" air conditioner, using Violeds UV LED technology, can kill 99.15% of viruses and bacteria, 98% of enteroviruses (such as EV71 and H1N1), and 99% of Staphylococcus albus. Furthermore, it has been proven to eliminate 90% of various harmful viruses in the air within 2 hours.

Traditional air conditioners typically draw in outside air, cool and filter it, then discharge it back indoors for continuous recirculation.
