The expert group re-evaluated and assessed Changzhou City Zouqu Town's 'China Luminaire City'.

In 2007, Zouqu Town in Zhonglou District, Changzhou City, was awarded the title of 'China Luminaire City' by the China Association of Lighting Industry. It successfully passed two re-evaluations organized by the China Association of Lighting Industry in 2011 and 2015 respectively. In recent years, the professional market for luminaire products in Zouqu Town has continued to develop positively under the pattern of 'Three Cities and One Center', with a market transaction volume exceeding 10 billion RMB.

In March 2020, the People's Government of Zouqu Town submitted an application for re-evaluation to the CALI. According to the 'Industry Norms for Awarding Honorary Titles for Characteristic Regions of the China Lighting Industry', on November 27-28, 2020, the CALI organized industry experts to conduct a re-evaluation assessment of Changzhou City Zouqu Town's 'China Luminaire City'. The head of the expert group was Liu Shengping, Vice Chairman of the China Association of Lighting Industry. Other members included Guan Yong, General Manager of Zhejiang Sunshine Lighting Electric Appliance Group Co., Ltd. and Vice Chairman of the China Association of Lighting Industry; Ruan Zhili, Mayor of Guzhen Town People's Government, Zhongshan City, and Vice Chairman of the China Association of Lighting Industry; Liu Tongguang, President of the Linyi Lighting Electric Appliance Industry Association; Liu Erli, Deputy Director of the National Luminaire Quality Supervision and Inspection Center; and Wen Qidong, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Association of Lighting Industry.

The CALI expert group held a work report meeting attended by the People's Government of Zouqu Town, relevant departments, and heads of major markets, as well as a symposium attended by some key merchants. They conducted field inspections of Zouqu Luminaire City, Guanghui Luminaire Market, Fade Luminaire Plaza, Jiahong Light Trade Center, Laser Display Industrial Park, the E-commerce Industrial Park under construction, and the New Light Source and Emerging Lighting Industrial Park.

Based on listening to reports, symposium exchanges, field visits, and concentrated discussions, the expert group unanimously agrees that in recent years, Zouqu Town's "China Luminaire City" has continued to maintain a rapid and positive development momentum, holding high recognition and influence both locally and throughout the industry. The construction and development of Zouqu Town's professional luminaire market comply with the requirements of the "Industry Norms for Awarding Honorary Titles of Characteristic Regions to the Chinese Lighting and Electrical Industry," and it is recommended to continue awarding the honorary title of "China Luminaire City" to Zouqu Town, Changzhou City.
