Hongyan Hangzhou Kunhe Center Nightscape Lighting Project Wins the 15th China Lighting Award

Recently, the 15th China Lighting Award was grandly announced. As the most prestigious award in China's lighting industry, projects selected for the China Lighting Award represent the highest standards of the country's lighting sector. Hongyan Lighting won the Excellence Award at the China Lighting Award for its masterpiece, the Hangzhou Kunhe Center Nightscape Lighting Enhancement , achieving results that have drawn significant attention from the industry.

The award-winning Hangzhou Kunhe Center stands at the pinnacle of Hangzhou's Wulin CBD. With a total height of 127 meters, it has become a benchmark building in the Wulin CBD. It connects to the Huancheng North urban landscape belt in the east, faces Huancheng North Road in the south, adjoins the Huazhe Store of Hangzhou Tower in the west, and backs onto the banks of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal in the north. However, due to its age, the overall nightscape image lacks distinction. The lighting suffers from several shortcomings, such as lack of layering, chaotic color tones, and an unclear theme, failing to highlight and showcase the nighttime charm of Kunhe Center.

To enhance the lighting effect of this project, Hongyan Lighting not only innovated in design but also achieved breakthroughs in luminaire technology. Addressing the common issue where floodlighting designs for building facades above 50m often yield unsatisfactory results, Hongyan Lighting utilized ultra-narrow beam secondary optical lens technology to overcome the challenges of illuminating super-tall buildings. By employing DIALUX software for in-depth analysis and simulation, they continuously optimized the installation positions and angles of the luminaires, resolving issues with overall facade illumination uniformity and luminance. This ultimately achieved the desired lighting effect, making Kunhe Center dazzling even at night.
