Strong Alliance! Acuity Brands Partners with Two UV Sterilization Companies to Expand UV Disinfection Product Portfolio

Acuity Brands, Inc. recently announced that it has signed strategic agreements with Violet Defense LLC (Violet Defense), an innovator in UV sterilization lighting technology, and Puro Lighting, LLC (PURO), a company providing UV disinfection solutions.

These strategic agreements will enable Acuity Brands to leverage Violet Defense's patented UV technology to expand its UV disinfection product portfolio. PURO and Acuity Brands will also collaborate to develop next-generation UV germicidal products.

The products of Violet Defense and PURO adopt the pioneering method initiated by Violet Defense, using pulsed xenon lamps and ultraviolet transmission lenses to deliver high-intensity full-spectrum ultraviolet light in unoccupied spaces for rapid bacterial killing and viral inactivation. Independent clinical trials have confirmed that pulsed xenon products can significantly reduce pathogenic biological load.

The UV disinfection products of these two companies are compact, inconspicuous when installed on ceilings, and easier to implement than many traditional UV solutions.
