The judging of entries for the 2020 "Guzhen Cup" China International Lighting Luminaire Design Competition has been successfully completed.
The judging of entries for the 2020 "Guzhen Cup" China International Lighting Luminaire Design Competition, jointly organized by the China Association of Lighting Industry and the People's Government of Guzhen Town, Zhongshan City, was successfully completed on September 29.

The China Association of Lighting Industry invited seven experts from domestic higher education institutions, quality testing, and intellectual property protection agencies to form a judging panel: Professor Zhang Haiwen from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts served as the head, Liu Shengping, Vice Chairman of the China Association of Lighting Industry, Associate Professor Tang Lintao from the Academy of Arts & Design at Tsinghua University,Professor Lin Hong from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, Associate Professor Kang Lijuan from the School of Fine Arts at South China Normal University, Deputy Director Yu Zaidao from the National Center for Quality Supervision and Testing of LuminairesandExaminer Wu Shanshan from the China Zhongshan (Decorative Lighting) Intellectual Property Rapid Rights Protection Centerand other experts participated in the judging work.

A total of 455 entries from enterprises and institutions were collected for this competition, including 153 physical works and 302 conceptual works. The judging experts, focusing on requirements such as novel creativity, scientific design, advanced technology, and exquisite craftsmanship, after rigorous discussion and evaluation, finally selecteda total of 35 award-winning works, including 27 physical works and 8 conceptual works.
Experts believe that, against the backdrop of epidemic prevention and control this year, there has been a significant increase in entries for UV disinfection lamps compared to previous years. The variety of functional entries is diverse, with an improvement in technical content. Conceptual entries have attracted much attention from university students, including institutions and individuals who have participated in the competition for many consecutive years.
