MIIT | Operation of the Lighting Industry in the First Seven Months

Recently, the Consumer Goods Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the latest data for January to July 2020 for the lighting and other industries.

1. Production Status

2020年1－7月，全国照明制造业主要产品中，灯具及照明装置完成产量20.1亿套（台、个），同比下降20.8%。

In July, the national output of luminaires and lighting devices reached 350 million units (sets, pieces), a year-on-year (YoY) decrease of 2.6%.

2. Benefits

From January to July 2020, the revenue of lighting appliance manufacturing enterprises above designated size nationwide was RMB 169.04 billion, a year-on-year (YoY) decrease of 14.9%; the total profit amounted to RMB 8.76 billion, a year-on-year (YoY) decrease of 21.4%.
