660 Million Deep UV UVC Device Project Settles in Ningbo

On August 28, the Ningbo Hangzhou Bay New Zone held a centralized signing ceremony for major projects. A total of 15 projects were signed, with a combined total investment of RMB 25.53 billion, covering fields such as automobile manufacturing, biopharmaceuticals, digital economy, new energy, and cultural tourism integration. Among them, there was 1 project exceeding RMB 10 billion, 3 projects exceeding RMB 3 billion, and 7 projects exceeding RMB 1 billion.

Among them, Ningbo Zilin Technology Co., Ltd. plans to invest 660 million yuan in a deep ultraviolet UVC device project, with plans to build 10 Epitaxy and chip production lines and 15 Packaging lines, forming an annual Production capacity of 100,000 2-inch deep ultraviolet Epitaxy wafers and chips, as well as 180 million LED beads.

Currently, driven by epidemic prevention needs, the deep UV LED industry is accelerating to become an important development direction of the semiconductor industry. Local governments are increasing policy support to promote the implementation of deep UV projects. On August 20, eight deep UV LED industry projects with a total investment of 3.05 billion yuan were established in Shanxi.
