Hubei's First Solar Photovoltaic Curtain Wall LED Lighting System Officially Operates
On the 29th, Torch Building, Hubei's first building to adopt a solar photovoltaic curtain wall LED lighting system, officially began power generation in Wuhan.
The building is located at 54 Yejin Avenue, Qingshan District. It is a highly intelligent, low-energy office building themed around modernity, technology, and environmental protection. The exterior adopts a transparent solar glass curtain wall that converts solar energy into electricity, serving both the decorative, daylighting, sound insulation, and heat insulation functions of ordinary curtain walls, and providing lighting power for the building's public corridors, underground parking garage, outdoor landscapes and roads, building illumination, etc.
The lighting fixtures use LED as the light source. Under the same lighting effect, LED power consumption is 1/8 that of incandescent bulbs, with an average lifespan of 100,000 hours. The system can also reduce the emission of harmful substances such as carbon dioxide and sulfur dioxide by 9,936 kilograms annually, achieving energy conservation and environmental protection.
According to the person in charge of Wuhan Rixin Technology Lighting Co., Ltd., which undertook the lighting project of this project, solar energy is considered the most important new energy source in the 21st century. Solar glass curtain wall technology is the major global development trend of combining the construction industry with solar energy utilization, and is of profound significance for protecting the ecological environment, promoting energy conservation and emission reduction, and developing a low-carbon economy. Currently, Wuhan is at a leading domestic level in this field, and solar photovoltaic building-integrated products have formed a production line on an industrialized scale.
