Theme: Green Smart City

As the COVID-19 pandemic is gradually brought under control, stabilizing economic growth and achieving the established 2020 goals of comprehensive poverty alleviation and a moderately prosperous society have become key priorities for the central government. Recently, the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee proposed work deployments to "accelerate the advancement of major projects and infrastructure construction clearly defined in national plans, and speed up the construction of new-type infrastructure such as 5G networks and data centers." As an important component of "new infrastructure," the construction of green smart cities has received increased attention and emphasis, providing new development opportunities for the lighting industry.

Luminaires offer advantages such as electrification, widespread deployment, and network connectivity. Especially outdoor light poles facilitate the integration of various IoT devices, serving as a key carrier for advancing smart city construction and becoming the optimal entry point for implementing green smart cities.

During the 2020 World IoT Expo, the "China IoT and Green Smart City Development Forum" will be held, focusing on the role of IoT lighting in building green smart cities. The forum will explore new opportunities for cooperation between the lighting and IoT industries from perspectives such as green energy saving and environmental protection, healthy light environments, 5G communication, intelligent control, and interconnectivity.

Introduction to the World Internet of Things Expo:

The 2020 World Internet of Things Expo will be held from August 7 to October 25, 2020, in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province—the nation's only National Sensor Network Innovation Demonstration Zone approved by the State Council. It is China's first national-level and largest-scale global IoT industry expo. Since its inception in 2016, it has successfully hosted four editions.

The total exhibition area of the 2019 World Internet of Things Expo exceeded 50,000 square meters, with more than 40 Fortune Global 500 companies participating. The event attracted 189,000 visitors. The expo's influence has been steadily growing, its visibility significantly improved, and the "Taihu imprint" of the Internet of Things has become more deeply rooted in people's minds.
