Reporters learned from China Tower Corporation Limited Hebei Branch (hereinafter referred to as "Hebei Tower") that since the beginning of this year, Hebei Tower has coordinated resources to accelerate the layout of 5G networks, making full use of its 101,000 self-owned towers and coordinating public resources such as street light poles and traffic police poles. Currently, the planning of 51,000 5G base station sites has been completed, and all have been approved by local urban planning committees.

Hebei Tower actively coordinates with Hebei Mobile, Hebei Unicom, and Hebei Telecom to address 5G base station construction needs, initiating joint surveys and joint design in advance to prepare 5G construction plans. As of July 10, Hebei Tower has received requests for 15,179 5G base stations, completed 11,939, and delivered 9,382.

Due to the higher frequencies and denser site distribution of 5G, the construction of 5G base stations imposes higher requirements on network planning, tower and indoor distribution system construction, and power supply assurance. Adhering to the principles of mutual conversion between "communication towers" and "social towers," and prioritizing sharing over new construction and joint construction over independent construction, China Tower Hebei Branch has significantly reduced investment in 5G base station construction and effectively lowered operational costs for the industry. Since the launch of 5G network construction, China Tower Hebei Branch has cumulatively invested RMB 868 million, achieved a 99.5% satisfaction rate for sharing existing 5G base station sites, saved nearly RMB 1.341 billion in industry investment, and conserved approximately 500 mu of land.
