New York spent $1 million on a UVC lighting disinfection test for transportation.

The New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is deploying 150 mobile UVC lighting units, costing approximately $1 million, provided by the startup PURO Lighting, to test the effectiveness and practicality of using this equipment to disinfect spaces and surfaces within MTA facilities as well as inside subways, trains, and buses.
