Automatic sprinkler system installed on street lights? Novel
According to reports, to improve air quality levels, the Heping Subdistrict Office of Xuzhou invested nearly 220,000 yuan to install automatic sprinkler systems on smart street light poles along a 600-meter stretch from Xi'an North Road to Sudibe Road on both sides of Huanghe South Road in Xuzhou. The system sprays water mist into the air.

Zhang Yuan, Deputy Director of the Heping Subdistrict Office, explained that the main purpose of installing automatic sprinkler systems on the 39 street light poles is dust suppression. Traditional fog cannon truck spraying belongs to semi-mechanical and semi-manual dust control measures; it operates while moving, can only perform point spraying, cannot be fixed in a specific area for continuous spraying, cannot achieve large-area simultaneous dust suppression, and has high usage costs, so it cannot be used in large quantities.

However, installing automatic sprinkler systems on street light poles on both sides of the road and spraying water mist into the air forms a micron-level water particle curtain in local areas, which combines with dust in the air to effectively reduce suspended particles floating in the air, achieving excellent dust suppression effects.
This automatic spray purification system does not damage the overall environment, nor does it alter the original pole structure or appearance. It only requires integrated retrofitting on existing poles by adding a stainless steel high-pressure water pipeline, or alternatively, selecting an integrated new pole. A variable frequency pump and water purification system are installed at regular intervals. The system features strong concealment, safety, reliability, simplicity, convenience, and versatility.
Currently, the construction of this project is complete, normal trial operation has been achieved, and it awaits acceptance by the relevant departmental authorities.
After the project is put into use, it will significantly reduce the floating particulate matter around the Huanghe New Village National Control Station and improve air quality levels.
