Implementation of energy efficiency standards for two LED lighting products postponed

Since February this year, the China Association of Lighting Industry (CALI) has received feedback from enterprises. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, some mandatory national standards have encountered difficulties in being implemented on schedule. CALI actively communicated with relevant departments, proposed a postponement recommendation, which was adopted. On April 2, the Standardization Administration of China issued a notice regarding the postponement of implementation of 13 national standards, including 'Energy Efficiency Limits and Energy Efficiency Classes for Unitary Air Conditioners'. This includes the energy efficiency limits and classes for indoor lighting LED products, as well as the energy efficiency limits for LED luminaires used in roads and tunnels, and other standards for two lighting products.

The China Association of Lighting Industry reminds relevant enterprises in the industry to actively adjust their work plans, and to expedite the implementation of relevant compliance preparations according to the new timeline for postponed implementation.
